Logitech has unveiled a new USB 3.0 portable hard drive, the LHD-PBLU3. Coming in 500GB capacity, this shock-proof hard drive features a rubber coating, a USB 3.0 connection interface, TV recording support and a 5400RPM spindle speed. LaCie in collaboration with Porsche Design have showed off their newest USB 3.0 portable hard drive, the LaCie Mobile Porsche Slim. Coming in 500GB capacity, this slim hard drive (11mm thick) features a durable aluminum body, a USB 3.0 connection interface and a built-in 256-bit AES hardware encryption. Western Digital has released a new line of USB 3.0 portable hard drives, the My Passport Ultra. Unlike most portable hard drives, the Canvio Connect has the ability to access and share files directly from the device, meaning users can back up videos and photos directly from smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices that are equipped with Toshiba Storage’s iOS or Android app to the external hard drive.
