Drone Delivery of the Future

gamaru_smart_cargo_01

Gamaru is a smart cargo solution that aims to take the middleman out of the equation. Drones get your package from the warhorse, you get your package from the drones. It’s that simple!

The system relies on tracking containers in the shape of barrels that house and protect packages of varying size as they make their way from the warehouse to consumer. The barrels are loaded on wheeled robotic platforms that can move autonomously throughout cities and neighborhoods. Users can track the location of their packages and visit a robot-drone to access it using their smartphone (as you would with Amazon locker) or wait for it to be delivered to their home. For security and to help with navigation, a flying drone accompanies and monitors each rover. Now, if only you could get it to toss packages over the fence too!

Your Eco-friendly Electric Escort

kuma_scooter_11

Most designs solve simple problems, they don’t create ecosystems. Kuma is like the latter. This series of personal mobility vehicles aim to become worthy replacements of automobiles we use today. The designers aim to foster a system that celebrates eco-friendly transport in the hopes that people will make a shift from cars to vehicles like Kuma. The goal is to encourage exercise along with electric transportation, helping the human by providing some sort of physical activity as well as the eco-system by completely cutting emissions.
