Best TV Deals on Amazon Prime Day 2017

Last year, there were some amazing deals from Amazon on Prime Day. The major standout point was that a lot of televisions were going for rock bottom prices. The majority of the TV deals were around 20 to 40 percent off from their list price. This year, Amazon is aiming to score big on Prime Day 2017 with more than 200,000 deals. They are also starting the shopping extravaganza in other countries like India, China, and Mexico for the first time.

If you are planning on purchasing a TV, please don’t do it now. Wait until July 10th and get the Best TV Deals on Amazon Prime Day 2017. The deals stated below are based on their prices from last year and may or may not be the final price. The products may differ in the brand, but the deals are expected to be sweeter this year.

Sony XBR75X850D 4K HDR Ultra HD Smart TV

If you’ve been to the Amazon site recently you can see that a lot of products have their prices hidden. Clicking on the ‘?’ symbol next to it will reveal that Amazon is selling these products lower than the manufacturer’s retail price and the manufacturers don’t allow them to display it. With the Prime Day approaching, I feel like this will turn out to be a great feature which incites curiosity among buyers. The Sony XBR75X850D 4K HDR UHD Smart TV is one of the best sellers and is a premium offering from Sony. The price is hidden which means it is selling below the retail price. This TV comes in 55-inches, 65-inches, 75-inches, and 85-inches. 4K UHD resolution along with HDR makes the visuals gorgeous. The whole TV is built ergonomically with a neat looking stand.

TCL 55S405 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD Roku Smart LED TV

The latest offering from TCL is the number one hottest new release on Amazon in the TV category. Coming at a fraction of the price of the Sony UHD 4K TV, this offering from TCL is meant for the masses. At less than $500, TCL 55S405 4K UHD Smart LED TV supports over 4,000 streaming channels and 450,000 movies and TV episodes through Roku TV. It also has all the other bells and whistles like HDR support, 3 HDMI 2.0 inputs, 1 USB port, direct-lit LED and a 120Hz refresh rate. The TV is available in four different sizes ranging from 43-inches, all the way up to 65-inches. I really like the design of this TV with inverted V-shaped stands on either side which looks sleek and premium.

Samsung UN55MU6500 Curved 55-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV

Samsung’s curved TVs are extremely popular and expensive too. Head over to Amazon right now and you can see that the TV is selling below its retail price. That is definitely a good sign with Prime Day coming up. This Curved UHD Smart LED TV from Samsung is a beauty. It’ll only take a few seconds to fall in love with it. The curves are prominent and the remote is also ergonomic and easy to hold. What is amazing is that the remote allows the user to control all connected devices and manage content through it. The picture and sound quality are just out of this world and customers have had no complaints with it at all.

LG 49UJ6300 49-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV

This is yet another UHD 4K LED TV and this time it is from LG. LG, Samsung, and Sony are the three biggest players in this segment and with Prime Day approaching, we can expect some mouthwatering deals. The LG 49UJ6300 is a 49-inch Smart LED TV running the webOS 3.5 operating system. It delivers a clean interface that is easy to use. The thin bezels are gorgeous and make the picture look even bigger. The stand is placed on either side of the TV which is unlike the ones seen on Samsung and Sony. This television too supports Active HDR which optimizes the content scene-by-scene to give a richer experience throughout. This TV from LG is also selling below its retail price.

Sony KDL32W600D 32-Inch Built-In Wi-Fi HD Smart TV

This one is for the budget oriented buyers. Like most of the other TVs on this list, this one too is selling below its retail price. Don’t expect all the jaw-dropping features of a 4K UHD TV on this one. It has a 60Hz refresh rate and Direct-Lit LED backlight. There are 2 HDMI ports and 2 USB ports. The X-Reality Pro Engine really shines through and the visuals are superb, to say the least. The sound quality could’ve been better. This is a 2016 model and I am expecting this TV to be priced way below its retail price on Prime Day 2017.

TCL 32S305 32-Inch 720p Roku Smart LED TV

If you want the current best seller in LED TVs on Amazon, look no further. The TCL 32S305 32-inch HD LED Smart TV has been turning heads, mainly for its price, but also for the plethora of features that it offers. It offers the exact same features of its 4K UHD variant at a much lower price. For a price tag of $159.99, it features Direct-Lit LED backlight, a 60Hz refresh rate, 3 HDMI ports, 1 USB port and access to over 4,000 channels and 450,000 moviehttp://amzn.to/2u6IzW0s and TV episodes through Roku TV. It even features the exact same design as its bigger counterpart with the stands on either side of the TV.

LG 32LJ550B 32-Inch 720p Smart LED TV

The last one from LG is very similar to the 32-inch LED TV from TCL. If you don’t want to go for a brand that doesn’t have a huge reputation, you can always go for this one from LG or the one from Sony. The LG 32LJ550B Smart LED TV is a smaller version of its 4K variant. It runs on the exact same webOS 3.5 operating system offering a simple and clean interface. Even though the TV sports an HD resolution, the pictures are quite vivid and sharp. It has a 60Hz refresh rate and backlit LED along with 2 Channel 10W speakers. There are 2 HDMI ports, 1 USB port, and a built-in Wi-Fi adapter.

Amazon Prime Day 2017 – Everything You Need To Know

Amazon Prime Day 2017 July 10Amazon Prime Day 2017 July 10

Many of you might’ve heard of Cyber Monday and Black Friday, both of which are two great days to buy new stuff, especially tech. Tons of products will be available on these days at prices that will make you cringe. But, how many of you know about Amazon Prime Day? When is it? What are the deals on offer?

This article is your one-stop guide to everything related to Amazon Prime Day and the best products on offer. FYI, Amazon Prime Day will start on the 10th of July. So, mark your calendars right now!

According to statistics, the deals on offer at Amazon during Prime Day are comparatively better than Black Friday and Thanksgiving deals. This year, Amazon Prime Day will run for 30 hours starting at 9 PM ET on July 10th until 3 AM ET on July 12th. Amazon’s VP Greg Greeley said that they are aiming to offer deals to a record number of shoppers. But the deals are only available to Amazon Prime members. You can sign up for Prime using this link and it costs about $100 a year.

Deals that you can avail right now

Even though Prime Day is starting on July 10th, Amazon will be rolling out several lucrative deals in different categories starting from July 6th onwards. Amazon’s music streaming service is slowly gaining popularity. To fuel that, they are offering a four-month membership for just 99 cents. They are also offering up to 40% off on Kindle Unlimited membership. This will allow users access to more than a million books from a device of their choice.

What’s new this year is that Amazon will be extending its Prime Day deals to few other countries like India, Mexico, and China. India is one of Amazon’s most promising markets and it is no surprise that they’ve decided to start the Prime Day here. Here is a summary of the deals on offer till July 11th.

  • Amazon Music Unlimited – Four months of service for just 99 cents.
  • Amazon Prime Video – Get $10 when you stream a video for the first time that is included in Prime.
  • Kindle Unlimited – Get up to 40% off on the Kindle Unlimited Membership.
  • Audible – Get up to 40% off on your first six months membership from Audible.
  • Everyday Essentials – Household items will be available at up to 35% off with coupons present on site.

Other expected deals based on previous years’ data

It has been only two years since Amazon’s first Prime Day, so there isn’t much data to go through. I’ll take into consideration the best deals of 2016 and 2015, and compile a comprehensive report of what is to be expected this year. Electronics like TVs, laptops, consoles, tablets, and smartphones (especially those from Apple) have always received great discounts and they sell off like hot cakes. There is a strong possibility for great deals on TVs like every year and I’ll be covering a separate post on the best TV deals on Amazon Prime Day 2017. With each year, Amazon has upped the ante with their Prime Day deals and let us hope for the best this year too.

Highlights of Amazon Prime Day 2016

TVs are an integral part of the Amazon Prime Day and they’ve promised more TVs than Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined. There were tons of deals on televisions ranging from the regular LED TVs to the high-end Ultra HD Curved LED TV from Samsung last year. For example, you could’ve got a 32-inch 720p LED TV for just $99.99. There was also a 40-inch 1080p LED TV for just $139.99. Lastly, a 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV was available for as low as $299.99.

Amazon’s very own Fire tablet, Kindle Paperwhite, Echo, and Fire TV had great discounts compared to Black Friday deals on the same products. Amazon Echo was down $50, Fire Tablet was available starting from $34.99, Amazon Fire TV was down by $30 and Kindle Paperwhite was down by $30.

However, potential buyers should tread with caution as a lot of products are not named until the start of Prime Day. They might not be from well-known brands and it is always better to go for it only if you absolutely need it. There have been complaints that a lot of the products up for sale have poor reviews are just put up for liquidating the stock.

What to expect this year?

So with all that information, what can we expect this year? Definitely, the major highlight is going to be the products from Amazon themselves. They are putting up great deals for their Music, Kindle, and Pantry. These are just starters and I’m pretty sure they will have some mouth-watering deals on the latest gaming consoles, smartphones, and televisions. Their site already shows that you can save up to $80 on their Prime Exclusive smartphones from Nokia, Alcatel, Moto and BLU.

Amazon has put up stringent standards for sellers to take part in the Amazon Prime Day sales. Last year, the sellers had to make sure that the products were offered at the cheapest price since January 1st, 2016 and have to be down from their Amazon list price by at least 20%. This year, things might be a lot stricter. Several shoppers complained about losing out on deals, but that is completely natural considering the fast paced nature and enticing deals on offer. People might not get enough time to research about a product and make sure it is right for them, they simply go for it. Although this promises a lot of savings, it might not end up well. The hashtag #primedayfail was very popular last year and we’ll definitely be seeing a lot of miffed customers this year as well. To make sure that you don’t fall behind, it is best to bookmark the page so that you can access it easily on the day of the sale.

I’d like to end this article with a fact about the Amazon Prime Day. So, here it goes. Did you know that last year, Amazon had sales of around half a million dollars just from Prime Day? The year before that, it was just around $150,000. I’m pretty sure that they are aiming for something big this year within the 30-hour time frame.
