Sony will release the TA-DA5800ES high-end AV receiver in the Japanese market. This new home cinema AV receiver enables you to watch movies in next-generation 4K resolution, which is four times the resolution of today’s best HDTVs. The TA-DA5800ES also provides 9.2 channels of surround sound (160W x 9Ch), USB DAC (24bit/192kHz) Virtual Front High, DLNA and Flac support. Yamaha today unveiled its new RX-V series AV receivers in the form of the 7.2-channel RX-V773WA and RX-V673. Both receivers provide AirPlay compatibility with iOS devices, convenient front panel USB inputs for direct connectivity to iPad, iPhone and iPod, seven discreet assignable amplifiers, six HDMI ports and an enhanced YPAO calibration system. The Yamaha RX-V773WA and RX-V673 AV receivers will be released in June 2012 for $849.95 and $649.95, respectively. [Engadget]

In case those RX receivers we saw last month weren't powerful enough for you, Yamaha's unleashing a couple of new beasts that may just meet all of your home entertainment demands. Similar to its V573 and V473 siblings, the RX-V773WA and RX-V673 are AirPlay-friendly and pack a 4K passthrough feature -- though, these also carry some PT action in 3D. Save for the YWA-10 WiFi adapter and an aluminum front panel on the V773WA, both newcomers are sporting identical traits. Among these are 7.2 channel audio, an enhanced YPAO calibration system, seven "intelligent" assignable amplifiers, six HDMI ports on each unit and an ECO mode to help reduce power usage. As far as pricing, you'll have to shell out $849.95 for the higher-end RX-V773WA and $649.95 for the RX-V673 when they hit shelves in June and later this month, respectively.

Sony today unveiled its new AV receiver in the form of the STR-DA5700ES. Crafted using premium grade materials and precision engineered audio components, the AV receiver features a 7.2 channel surround sound, which is expandable to 9.2 channel surround using a pair of additional front height speakers. The STR-DA5700ES AV receiver is equipped with six HDMI inputs, two HDMI outputs and a USB DAC to connect the device to your PC using a USB cable for play various types of audio files. Other features include a network connectivity for wireless entertainment, a 3D capability and a Full HD upscaling for analogue input devices. The Pioneer Elite VSX-42 And VSX-60 AV receivers also provides a variety of audio, video and custom home theater enhancements such as MCACC auto-calibration, multi-HDMI inputs and Pioneer’s proprietary apps for iPhone and iPad (ControlAPP and iControlAV2012).
