Holy Stone F181 RC Quadcopter HD Camera Drone

Holy Stone F181 RC Quadcopter HD Camera Drone

Holy Stone F181 may not be the most affordable quadcopter drone out there, but none of the others can really beat it in terms of bang for buck.

There are so many different models of RC quadcopters out there that it’s become really difficult to pick one over another. The factors that are typically taken into consideration include the drone’s features and its cost. From these points of view, the Holy Stone F181 seems to have hit that sweet spot where great performance and design meet a reasonable price. The included HD camera and headless security system are only two of the many features that set this quadcopter apart.

The key return and headless security system enable the remote control to know at all times where the drone is in relation to itself. That makes it virtually impossible to lose, as all it takes to bring it back is a flick of a button.

As for the tricks it can do, Holy Stone F181 can do 360-degree flips in four directions (left, right, forward and backward). While these tricks may sound like a lot of fun, it’s recommended to learn how to fly the drone properly instead of diving head first. The blade protectors will prevent the quadcopter from taking any damage, but it’s better to take care of it from the very beginning, rather than buying drone parts as they break. On top of that, the manufacturer recommends leaving the drone cool down 10 minutes between flights, as the motors and circuit board can get damaged because of the heat that builds up during use.

The resolution of the included camera is 1280×720, and while it is capable of both recording video and taking still shots, the quality is not spectacular. However, given the price point of this drone, I’d say that the video quality of the HD camera is within expectations.

Even though the manufacturer claims that the range is between 50 and 100 meters, people who have bought the Holy Stone F181 claim that they managed to control it while it was 300 meters away.

Another aspect the manufacturer seems to have been humble about is the battery. According to Holy Stone, F181’s 3.7V 750mAh battery takes around 80 minutes to fully charge, and is able to keep the RC quadcopter running (or rather flying) for 7 to 9 minutes. Buyers have reported being able to fly the drone for more than 10 minutes, so that’s definitely a plus. Granted, the battery’s performance will drop in time, but buying new ones shouldn’t be a problem, as they’re available in packs of two for $15.50.

Check out the following video to get an idea about how the Holy Stone F181 looks and moves in real life.

The RC quadcopter HD camera drone is currently available on Amazon for $129.99, 35% off the original price. Bear in mind that from now on, drones purchased and used in the US need to be registered with the FAA.

DJI Phantom 3 Quadcopter with 2.7K HD Camera Is a Drone for Pros

DJI Phantom 3 2.7K HD Camera Quadcopter Drone

After learning how to fly and shoot videos using smaller drones with lesser cameras, the obvious next step is to move to a professional quadcopter such as DJI’s Phantom 3, which can record spectacular aerial videos and photos.

Since DJI Phantom 3 is a drone for professional applications, it won’t do any flips while flying. Other than that, drone users who are familiar with how a drone is supposed to be controlled should have any issues with this one. There are a few differences, but not that major, so while it isn’t recommended to get the Phantom 3 as your first drone, upgrading from an inferior model definitely is the way to go. DJI’s offering is in a class of its own, as far as consumer drones are concerned, since it impresses not only with its camera, but also with its steadiness when flying.

Assembling the drone is quite easy, assuming that users follow the instructions provided in the included manual.

The 2.7K camera is definitely one of the major highlights of the DJI Phantom 3 Standard. The 2704×1520 resolution may seem a bit peculiar, but there is a noticeable difference from 1080p. At that resolution, the camera can record either at 24 or 30 frames per second. Other possible resolutions and framerates are 1920×1080 at 24, 25, 30, or 48 fps and 1280×720 at 24, 25, 30, 48, 50, or 60 fps. Shooting slow-motion videos is not possible with this module, but I hope that DJI is considering that for the future iterations of this camera. The drone comes with an 8GB microSD camera, so if you’re planning to record more footage, you might want to buy with a larger capacity.

If you’re into action sports and want some professionally-shot footage or photos of yourself riding the waves, the DJI Phantom 3 Standard will be there to deliver, assuming you have someone to control it. The DJI Go companion app for mobile phones and tablets can be used for displaying live streams from the drone up to half a mile away. Besides that, the quadcopter’s GPS module enables users to fly the Phantom 3 safely, without having to worry about losing it.

The included battery can keep the drone in the air for up to 25 minutes, so it might not be that bad of an idea to get an extra one.

The DJI Phantom 3 standard quadcopter drone with 2.7K HD camera sells on Amazon for $699 ($848 with an extra battery, or $838 if you want an extra battery and a hard shell backpack), which is by no means a small amount of money, but people who really could use such a drone will see this as an investment, rather than an expense. If you or someone you know is looking to shoot professional videos from a unique perspective, there’s still time to place this drone under the Christmas tree. Assuming that you opt for One-Day Shipping at checkout, orders placed by 6 a.m. PST on December 22 will be delivered the next day, so just in time to give yourself or a loved one a memorable gift this Christmas!

Top 5 Drones from the Walyou Store

Top 5 Drones from Walyou Deals Store

Choosing the best drone for you depends on a lot of factors, including your budget and what you intend to do with it, so here are the best 5 discounted drones that you can buy in our store, Walyou Deals.

Drones have a lot of applications from aerial photography to package delivery and, more recently, surveillance. However, if you’re just starting out with quadcopters, you’d better focus on a smaller, cheaper model, until you get the hang of it all, and then proceed to the more serious, professional drones. To check out the store page and find out more details about the drones, click on the images or follow the links found in each product’s description.

Cheerson CX-10C – World’s Smallest Camera Drone

The Cheerson CX-10C is one of the best options out there, if you’re just taking your first steps into the world of camera-equipped drones. The resolution may not be much, but you have to take into consideration that this is a very small quadcopter, so it’s not able to carry a heavier and better module. Still, A Mediocre Corporation, the manufacturer of this drone, promises crystal-clear video and photography, which certainly isn’t something most makers of quadcopters this size can say.

For $34.99, which is how much Cheerson CX-10C costs at Walyou Deals, you get a tiny drone with LED lights that takes less than half an hour to charge for a four minute flight. The quadcopter is even delivered with a 2GB microSD card, which is enough for recording footage over several flights.

Snowflake Stealth Drone

As its name suggests, Snowflake Stealth Drone’s design resembles a snowflake, and judging by the characteristics, I’d say that the flight patterns point in that direction, as well. Using 6-axis gyro technology, this micro drone has stability in flight and smoothness in its motion. It can even be used for outdoor racing, as it sports a high-speed mode. The four safety-protected propellers prevent the drone from getting damaged if crashing into things. This one takes 40 minutes to charge for a 5 to 7 minute flight, but it’s totally worth it.

The Snowflake Stealth Drone can be purchased on Walyou Deals for $34.99, but the discount is greater than in the case of Cheerson CX-10C, as the original price of this one is $100. This one’s great for the ones who fear that their drone might get irremediably broken after bumping into a wall or a tree. The impact-resistant ABS plastic can definitely make a difference in such cases.

Code Black Drone with HD Camera

Code Black Drone definitely has something menacing about its design. The black body with silver accents and blue LED lights. This one is ready to fly out of the box, so you won’t have to buy anything else besides what’s already provided by the manufacturer. The 6-axis flight control system makes flying very stable, not to mention that the drone is also capable of doing 4-way flips, despite its larger dimensions. Unlike the previous modesl, this one packs a 2.0MP, HD 720p camera for great aerial photos and videos.

To get the Code Black Drone, head over to Walyou Deals, where you can find it for $67.99, 65% off the original price of $199. You must hurry, though, as this offer ends in one day, and getting it after that will imply paying the full price.

Micro Drone 2.0+ with HD-Camera: Inverted Flight Edition

Despite its name, Extreme Toys’ Micro Drone 2.0+ is a very sturdy HD camera quadcopter with a very unique attribute: it can fly (and consequently shoot photos and videos) upside down. On top of that, it’s also one of the most convenient-to-use drones out there, as it charges over USB, and a 45-minute charge enables it to fly around for up to 8 minutes.

At $99.99, the Micro Drone 2.0+ with HD camera isn’t exactly one of the cheapest options, so it probably shouldn’t be your main option if you’re just planning to buy your first drone. Still, for experienced drone owners, this one makes a great choice.

Muvi X-Drone & HD Camera System

Muvi X-Drone is currently the best quadcopter you can get in our store. Veho Corporation’s UAV is capable of recording videos in 1080p, and shoots photos at 16MP. If you’re looking to shoot professional aerial photos and videos, then this one should be at the top of your list. Live viewing and control via iOS or Android devices are only two of the features that set the Muvi X-Drone apart from all of the other quadcopters.

Walyou Deals offers the Muvi X-Drone for $699, which is anything but cheap, but you have to remember that this is a professional product that can stay up in the air for up to 20 minutes, which is more than enough for shooting a professional music video for a band. The built-in GPS is yet another feature that justifies the slightly high price. When you fly such an expensive drone, the though of losing it when the battery runs low would obviously be terrifying, but the built-in GPS module helps it get back unaided to its launch point.

Fleye Is the Safest Flying Robot in the World

Fleye World's Safest Drone 01

Most drones feature blade guards nowadays, but even with those, approaching the blades from the wrong angle could have horrible effects. That’s definitely not the case with Fleye, the world’s safest drone.

Developed by the eponymous company based in Liege, Belgium, Fleye is a drone that you can safely push away without having to fear that your fingers might get hurt in the process. Drone accidents are rare, but they do happen, assuming that people use other models than Fleye, and when they do, they usually make the news. While it’s not excluded to make the news while using Fleye, it’s guaranteed that it will be for different reasons. Some of the possible uses include aerial photography and video shooting, innovative drone applications based on the open API and SDK, marketind, education and research.

What makes Fleye the safest drone on the planet is the design. The rotor is no longer protected by just a guard, as is the case with conventional drones, but by grids on the upper and lower sides. Other than that, Fleye is also shielded on the sides, thus taking the risk of personal injury to zero. In terms of dimensions, this flying robot is about the same size and weight as a soccer ball, 23 cm in diameter and 450 grams (or 9 inches and 16 ounces).

Fleye isn’t only good looking, but also smart, as it packs a dual-core CPU, 512MB RAM, and runs on Linux. The HD camera it comes with is capable of recording video at 1080p 30fps, and can shoot stills at 5MP. Fleye equipped their flying robot with 7 sensors, namely an accelerometer, gyroscope, magneto sonar, optical flow, altimeter and GPS. The generic 3S 1500mAh LiPo battery with XT60 connector is easy to swap, and can keep the drone in the air for up to 10 minutes, which is longer than what you get with a typical quadcopter. In terms of speed, Fleye can fly at up to 15km/h (10mp/h) with an 8 km/h wind tolerance.

The camera can be used for shooting selfies, panaromas, but other autonomous modes are supported, as well, meaning that the drone can hover in place with a 10cm precision, or it can be controlled manually either with an RC receiver or from within the companion app, which will be available for both Android and iOS.

Fleye is hoping to hit the €175,000 ($190,000) funding goal on Kickstarter within the next 38 days, so that their flying robot makes it into mass-production. At press time, backers had pledged nearly €105,000, and according to Kicktraq, the campaign is trending toward €768,651, considering that the average daily pledges remain at the same level. Assuming that the project gets funded and that nothing goes wrong by the end of the campaign, backers who pledged €699 ($738) or more should expect to receive their Fleye drone in September 2016. Sure, it’s expensive, but if it’s safety and fantastic applications that you’re after, then there really is no alternative to it.

Get Started with Drones with Syma X5C Explorers Quadcopter

Syma X5C RC Quadcopter Drone with HD Camera

If you’re looking to buy your first drone ever, look no further than the Syma X5C, an incredibly affordable RC quadcopter with HD camera.

Learning how to fly a drone doesn’t take a long time, nor does this require any special skills that you’d have to be born with. However, before investing thousands upon thousands on professional drones, it’s recommended to take things slowly and approach this one step at a time. The Syma X5C Explorers RC quadcopter with HD camera was specifically built with beginners in mind, and the price definitely contributes to making it very appealing.

The manufacturer claims that the X5C is the ultimate drone for beginners, and that may as well be true. At 12.2 x 12.2 x 3.1 inches and 1.4 pounds in weight, the RC quadcopter is quite easy to control, while also being enough not to be taken away by the wind. That’s not to say that it cannot be lost, but that can be avoided by attaching a Bluetooth finder to it. Considering it’s dimensions, the X5C is adequate for both indoor and outdoor use, but it’s best to pay attention to it in both scenarios.

Syma X5C is powered by a 3.7V 500mAh Li-Polymer battery that takes 100 minutes to charge, and that keeps the drone operational for up to 7 minutes. Replacing the included camera module with a slightly heavier camera (keep in mind that GoPro is not supported, so you’d have to go with something lighter) will reduce the flying time, and it might cause the RC quadcopter to become more difficult to control.

Speaking of the camera module, the drone is equipped with an HD cam that provides a decent filming quality, considering the price point. As long as you don’t expect cinema quality, you should be satisfied with the results.

Above is an image with all the buttons and switches of the 2.4G 4-channel remote control. While it may seem complicated, you will get used to it in no time.

Below is a picture of everything you’ll find in Syma X5C’s package: the camera module and a microSD card, spare propeller blades, blade guards and the 3.7V 500mAh Li-Po battery, or in other words, almost everything you’d need to get started right away. The only things missing are 4 AA batteries for the controller, so you’ll have to supply those yourself.

Syma X5C Explorers can be purchased on Amazon for $48.80 (or $65.69, if you’d rather get it in a bundle that also contains a 32GB microSD card), which really is an incredible price for such a drone, especially since it is also equipped with an HD camera. Additional parts and colors are available here. That’s a small price to pay for anyone’s first drone, but that doesn’t mean that it lacks quality, so if you, or someone you know, would like to take the first steps in the world of quadcopters, place your order now to make sure that it arrives before Christmas!

X5C RC Quadcopter Drone Makes a Perfect Christmas Gift

X5C RC Quadcopter Drone

Both teenagers and grown-ups freak out with joy whenever they see RC vehicles such as cars or tanks, so imagine what reaction they’d have if they found such an amazing drone as the X5C RC quadcopter under the Christmas tree.

Saving memories in digital format is one of the best treats of the modern age, and camera-equipped drones such as the X5C RC quadcopter are quickly becoming part of this. Remote-controlled flying toys don’t have a long history, but the features of each of them already are impressive. If you add to the tricks they can perform the fact that some of them pack cameras for aerial photography, you’ll soon realize that drones are perfect toys for all seasons.

Two of the aspects that set the X5C RC quadcopter apart from many other drones are the headless mode/intelligent orientation control (IOC) System, which enables users to fly it without any prior adjustments of the aircraft’s position, and the 6-axis flight control systems (3 gyroscopes and 3 accelerometers) that allows the drone to be still while filming.

The footage filmed with the HD camera is stored on a microSD card (the drone includes a 2GB one in the package), and according to the manufacturer, a 4GB card can store video shot on multiple flights. The included USB SD card reader enables you to transfer the AVI and JPEG files from the drone to a computer and upload them to Instagram or facebook within seconds.

This particular drone comes with a bonus 3.7V 500mAh Li-Po battery that effectively doubles flying time. Each battery takes between 90 and 120 minutes to charge, and can keep the drone in the air for 7 to 9 minutes, depending on the flight regime.

Operating the drone is definitely something anyone can do. The 2.4G transmitter with LCD display features controls for flying up/down, left/right, and forward/backward, not to mention that the drone can also do 360-degree flips at the flick of a button. The LED lights of the drone definitely turn flying it at night into a fantastic show. Imagine what it looks like to fly it on a winter night, when everything around you is white, and only light comes from the quadcopter.

Even though the quadcopter’s blades are protected so that the drone doesn’t get damaged when accidentally bumping into things, the manufacturer considered it’s common sense to include 4 extra blades.

The X5C RC quadcopter drone is available exclusively on Amazon for $119.99, meaning that it’s sold out even on the manufacturer’s website. It benefits of free shipping, and can only be shipped within the 50 states. Buyers can also get an additional 2- or 3-year drops & spills protection for a premium, but that’s definitely worth it, given the peace of mind it can provide. Are you after a Christmas gift for your husband or teenager boy? Then look no further than this drone with powerful motors and HD-filming capabilities!

Get Micro Drone 2.0+, The Upside-Down HD Camera Operator

Micro Drone 2.0+ with HD Camera - Inverted Flight Edition

Drones carrying cameras often lack the flexibility that their human counterparts have when shooting videos. Micro Drone 2.0+, which is now available on Walyou Deals, can turn upside down and film in HD, for a completely unique way of immortalizing special moments.

The ability to fly inverted isn’t exactly new, as many drone manufacturers have played with this idea for a while. However, the problem with must drones flying inverted is that they don’t usually pack enough power to also carry a camera, so drone owners typically have to choose between doing fun tricks with their UAV, or getting one that can carry a camera, but can’t flip. Micro Drone 2.0+ with HD Camera: Inverted Flight Edition, as its name strong suggest, is equipped with a camera that’s capable of shooting videos in HD resolution, and can also turn upside down, for cool tricks and amazing effects.

A change of perspective is always welcomed in videos, and you don’t need to work on movie sets at Hollywood to achieve that. As a matter of fact, all you need is a small drone that can fly in an inverted position. Well, truth be told, not just any UAV, but the Micro Drone 2.0+ with HD Camera: Inverted Flight Edition, since this is the only micro HD-camera drone in the world capable of achieving this feat.

Developed by Extreme Toys Ltd., the Micro Drone 2.0+ employes a pre-programmed algorithm that enables it to perform 360-degree flips. More than flips, the drone can actually fly upside down, and all you need to do to see that is flip a switch. After deciding how to fly it, the drone uses self-righting algorithms and sensors to stabilize to its horizontal flying position.

The drone sports a USB rechargeable battery, and a full charge lasts 45 minutes, enabling it then to fly for up to 8 minutes. In terms of range, it is functional at up to 400 ft away. As for the camera, the module is capable of capturing both videos and photos in 720p at 30fps.

That resolution and frame rate are perfect for filming not only kids playing, but also scenery and landscapes while visiting a new country. Aerial photography can certainly give your vacation a different twist. After all, anyone can take photos and shoot videos at ground level, but filming yourself and the ones beside you from up above is definitely not everyone can do. Not to mention that by doing so, you no longer have to ask others to hold the camera!

The Micro Drone 2.0+ with HD camera can be purchased on Walyou Deals for $99.99 (42% off the MSRP of $175). You can lower that price even more by referring a friend, action that gets you a $10 discount. That’s a very reasonable price, considering the uniqueness of this drone and its inverted flight video shooting capabilities.
