Hush Earbuds Block Outside Noise, Let Important Sounds Through

These earphones are made with one goal in mind: to give you some peace and quiet. Hush earbuds are noise masking earplugs that don’t stream music at all. Instead they play from a variety of pre-installed sounds, with the intention of masking out external noise. Coupled with a memory foam plug, they allegedly give you the ability to isolate yourself from your surroundings when you need it most, for up to 10 hours at a time. Pre-installed sounds are

- White Noise
– Brown Noise
– Pink Noise
– Ocean Waves
– Rainfall
– Fan
– Crackling Fire
– Babbling Brook
– Waterfall
– Thunderstorm

However since Hush is connected to your phone, pre-selected notifications can still make it through, that way you’re not completely in the dark. It’ll let your morning alarm through, for instance. And if they fall out of your ears as you sleep and your alarm rings for more than 30 seconds, Hush will assume they’ve fallen out and allow the phone to blare out as usual.

It’s a cool concept for anyone looking at an inexpensive way to block out the world; a $115 pledge will get you a pair, delivered by May 2015.
