Most Over the Top iPhone Dock Ever

Our favorite Bavarian photographer and one-of-a-kind Apple accessory maker Georg Dinkel has done it again. You might remember him from such over the top creations as this Ridiculously Ornate iPad Dock or this Gothic Inspired iPad Dock. Well this time he’s gone off the deep end and created the iReliquary, a 31″ tall church-like shrine to the iPhone. Underneath all that glitz and glam is a 35 watt 2.1 sound system with the subwoofer under the dome and 4 tweeters in the towers.

Georg made this incredible iPhone dock from wood, polymer clay, rhinestones, gold and silver powder, and electronics. There’s a lightning connector to power the iPhone and Bluetooth to connect to the speakers. The craziest part about all this? Georg doesn’t even own an iPhone!!!! Watch the video below for a closer look at this insanity:

Awesome job, Georg.

He’s baaaaaaack. Do you remember a few months back when Georg Dinkel created a ridiculously ornate iPad dock? Well now he’s one-upped himself with a nearly 4 foot tall Gothic Medieval skyscraper of an iPad speaker dock. Yes that’s an iPad dock, check out the iPad on the closeup:

Inside is a 2-way 25 watt speaker system in the bottom part, LED lighting, and a Lightning connector to plug in the iPad. This thing is made of polymer clay, wood, metal powders, metal leaf, acrylic stone, and a whole lot of creativity (and presumably time too). Here’s the backside.

There’s a bit more info on his website, along with a video interview with Georg (in German, so hopefully you speak it, otherwise you can just see the imagery). Amazing work. Can’t wait to see version 3.

One man has created something akin to a shrine to his iPad in what we are calling “The Most Ridiculously Ornate iPad Dock Ever”. Bavarian based photographer Georg Dinkel has created an iPad speaker dock he calls “TonSchrein”, which is German for “Sound Shrine”- appropriately enough.

If there was ever an iPad dock fit for royalty, this would be it. This regal iPad dock is made out of polymer clay. Inside there is a 2.1 speaker sound system. Here’s the back side:

iPod only users, don’t fret, he’s created one just for iPod Nanos too with a dual speaker system:

Unfortunately for those craving something like this for their own iDevices, these were Georg’s personal projects and not for sale. But great work making these, sir.
