Here comes a new line of portable SSDs from Elecom, the ESD-EC. Coming in two different storage capacities: 120GB and 240GB (Black, Red & White color options), these compact SSDs are built with TLC NAND Flash memory chips and feature a USB 3.1 Gen1 connection interface w/ cable-integrated design that can be stored in the body.

Supporting Windows 10/8.1/7 and Mac OS 10.13 operating systems, the ESD-EC portable SSDs can deliver sequential read and write speeds of up to 410MB/s and 400MB/s, respectively. Chinese storage manufacturer KingSpec has announced a new line of portable SSDs, the Z1. Coming in two different storage capacities: 128GB and 256GB, these compact SSDs feature a shock-resistant metal case, SLC NAND Flash memory chips, a USB 3.1 Type-C connection interface, ECC support and an MTBF of 1,000,000 hours.

Supporting Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 2003, Windows 2008, Win10, DOS, Linux and Unix operating systems, the Z1 portable SSDs can deliver sequential read and write speeds of up to 700-800MB/s and 550-600MB/s (128GB model), and 720-850MB/s and 620-750MB/s (256GB model), respectively.

Coming in 128GB of storage capacity, this lightweight portable SSD (shock & vibration proof) are built with MLC NAND Flash memory chips, a USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C connection interface, OTG function support, TRIM support, SMART support and an MTBF of 1.5 million hours.

Implementing the LDPC technology for ensuring data integrity and improving data transfer quality, the EX1 Plus promises to deliver sequential read and write speeds of up to 530MB/s and 400MB/s, respectively.
