Plextor has recently introduced a new line of SATA 6.0 Gbps SSDs, the M8VC. Coming in three different storage capacities: 128GB, 256GB and 512GB, these slim 2.5-inch SSDs (6.8mm thick) are built with Toshiba 64-layer 3D NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface, a SiliconMotion SMI2258 controller, TRIM support, SMART support and an MTBF of 1.5 million hours.
Utilizing the LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) technology – ensures safety and integrity of data transmission by with its excellent error correcting mechanism, the M8VC SSDs promise to deliver sequential read and write speeds of up to 560MB/s and 400MB/s (128GB model), 560MB/s and 510MB/s (256GB model) and 560MB/s and 520MB/s (512GB model), respectively.
