Gigabyte is ready to release the GV-R785WF2-1GD Radeon HD 7850 video card with a 1GB of GDDR5 VRAM set to 4800 MHz. The new graphics card features a GPU clock of 860 MHz, a 256-bit memory interface, a blue PCB and a WindForce2X (two fans, two copper heatpipes) cooler. The GV-R785WF2-1GD also provides an Ultra Durable 2 design (Low RDS(on) MOSFET, Ferrite Core Choke, All-Solid Capacitors). Sharkoon today introduced two new mid-tower PC cases namely the REX3 Value and REX3 Economy. Both entry-level PC cases provide three 5.25-inch and four 3.5-inch drive bays, a mesh front panel, six USB ports (6 x USB 2.0 for the Economy, 2 x USB 3.0 and 4 x USB 2.0 for the Value), seven PCI slots, and three holes for watercooling tubes on the back panel. The Sharkoon REX3 Value and REX3 Economy can hold graphics cards up to 29 cm long and CPU coolers up to 16 cm tall. No word on pricing at this time.

Philips Releases 27-inch AMVA Display

Philips is ready to launch the new 27-inch monitor equipped with an AMVA (Advanced Multi-domain Vertical Alignment) panel (Model: 271P4QPJKEB/00). The 27-inch AMVA display features a W-LED backlight, a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, 178/178 degree viewing angles, a 6ms (GtG) response time, a 300 cd/m2 brightness level and a 5,000:1 contrast ratio (20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. The Philips 271P4QPJKEB/00 also provides two built-in 2 Watts speakers, a 3-port USB 2.0 hub, a 2.0-megapixel camera, D-Sub, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort. What makes this AMVA display interesting is that it has a “people sensor”, which automatically lowers brightness level when the user is not in front of the display. Yamaha has recently introduced two new high-performance headphones models in the HPH-PRO series. Known as the PRO500 and PRO300, both headphones feature a dedicated iPhone/iPod remote and a microphone. The Yamaha PRO500 headphones come equipped with a pair of 50mm drivers, offering a 22-22,000 Hz frequency response with a 22-Ohm impedance and a 105 dB sensitivity. The Yamaha PRO300 headphones feature a pair of 40mm drivers that produce a 20-20,000 Hz frequency response with a 53-Ohm impedance and a 107 dB sensitivity. Corsair has announced the availability of the Carbide 200R ATX mid-tower PC case (model: CC-9011023-WW). Measuring 490mm x 270mm x 560mm, this new PC case is made of SECC steel and ABS plastic. It provides three 5.25-inch and four 3.5-inch/2.5-inch drive bays. The Carbide 200R also features side panel thumbscrews, PCI-E expansion card thumbscrew mounts, cutouts for cable routing and tool-free SSD, hard drive, and optical drive installation.
