The Pioneer BDR-208JBK is an internal SATA Blu-ray writer drive that provides a highest Blu-ray writing speed. It can write Blu-ray ROM (BD-R) at 15X, dual-, triple-, and quad-layer BD-R at 14X, 8X, and 6X, respectively. The Pioneer BDR-208JBK can also write BD-RE discs at 2X, DVDs at 16X, and CDs at 40X. What makes this Blu-ray XL writer drive special is that it adopts PureRead3+, which lets the drive correct read errors on scratched discs. ASUS has proudly introduced the new ASUS SBW-06C2X-U 3D Blu-ray writer. The Blu-ray burner supports BDXL, 6x Blu-ray writes, Blu-ray 3D playback, 5.1 channel Dolby EX, DTS-HD and 2D-to-3D conversions. It has the ability to upscale a DVD quality video to a 1080p HD video. What's this? ASUS is teasing a mystery product shrouded in shadows on its Facebook page. From the looks of it, the piano-black hardware is mounted vertically onto a brushed metal cantilevered stand that just oozes style. Our vague, uninformed reckonings make us wonder if it's not an art-deco styled EeeBox, a desktop PC you'd be ashamed to hide under your desk, or the prettiest router we've ever seen. Either way, we'll keep our eyes peeled and in the meantime, you can cast your own idle speculation into the comments below.
