Remember the gigantic couch-sized 10,000 watt iNuke Boom iPod Dock? Well now you can bring that into your home…. in a slightly smaller size (1/23rd the size to be exact). The iNuke Boom Junior from Behringer still maintains the oversized proportions compared to the iPod that docks above it but in a more living room friendly size. It’s a 3 way active speaker putting out 50 watts from these internal speakers: Tweeter (2 x 1″), midrange speaker (2 x 3″), woofer (1 x 5.25″).
The speaker dock works with most iDevices or you can use the line-in for your other music player. The Jr. measures 8.7″ H x 16.5″ W x 9.8″ D and comes with a wireless remote and a video out port. Available only at Costco online.

Skull Shaped Speaker Dock
New from Jarre (who you might remember from their 11 foot tall iPod dock), it’s the Aeroskull, an iPhone speaker dock shaped like a skull. Behind the metallic skull’s sunglasses are a pair of 15 watt speakers while a 40 watt subwoofer pumps out the bass straight from his dome to your dome. Probably ideal for playing some death metal or even Grateful Dead.
You get your choice of 11 colors and while the dock is still using Apple’s now outdated 30 pin connector, the speakers are also bluetooth compatible for wireless audio streaming straight to head. A wireless bone remote comes with it too. It’s available this month in the UK for about $560. Apparently death don’t have no mercy…for the poor. (via pocket-lint)
Electric Friends Animal iPod Speaker Docks
It doesn’t get any cuter than the Electric Friends iPod Speaker Dock. Available in Sing Sing the Panda, Ki Ki the Cat, Kwack Kwack the Duck, and Chew Chew the Dog, these speaker docks have a fun way of adjusting the volume- just touch the animal’s ears!
That panda is chilling, yo. The docks will charge most models of iPhones and iPods as well as play music through a pair of 5w speakers. The animals run on batteries or AC power and have a stereo input for other non-iDevices. Great for kids and fun loving adults.
