Philips Releases A New 34-Inch UltraWide LCD Monitor

Here comes a new 34-inch UltraWide LCD monitor from Philips, the BDM3470UP. Adopting an advanced AH-IPS panel (keep colors consistently bright and accurate), this new 34-inch LED-backlight monitor provides 3440 x 1440 UWQHD resolution with 21:9 aspect ratio, 1000:1 contrast ratio (SmartContrast 40,000,000:1), 320 cd/m2 brightness and 178/178 degree viewing angles.

Not only that, it also comes with a number of advanced features including Philips SmartUniformity mode for delivering at least 95% average luminance uniformity and MultiView technology, which enables users to work with two devices – PC and notebook. Connectivity-wise, the BDM3470UP provides 2x USB 2.0, 2x USB 3.0, VGA, DVI-Dual Link, DisplayPort and MHL-HDMI.

Acer Japan is preparing to release another LCD monitor namely the G226HQLEbmid. Adopting a TN panel, this new 21.5-inch LED-backlight monitor provides 1366 x 768 native resolution, 100,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 200 cd/m2 brightness and 5ms response time. Adopting an IPS panel, this new 24.1-inch LED-backlight monitor supports a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and provides 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 6ms response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles.
