Between the network connection, GPS, and camera, Pokémon GO will really drain your phone’s battery, which makes catching Pokémon even harder. You should pick up a portable charger or battery case for your device if you plan on playing for very long. But really, since you are using your phone to catalog and record all the Pokémon you’re catching — just like a Pokedex — you might as well make your phone into a Pokédex. It just makes sense.
This custom Pokédex-shaped phone case/battery was made a clever DIYer named NPoole. It’s just what you need for catching monsters.
The case is 3D-printed and holds an extra 2,600mAh lithium-ion battery, with a USB plug embedded to connect to the phone itself. Its creator added red, yellow, and green LEDs, which are powered by the same battery. This guy is catching some Pokémon. Believe that!
If you want to make one yourself, you can find instructions on SparkFun, with the files you need posted on GitHub. It could help you catch them all.
