Steampunk Video Games Art at Its Robotic Best

amazing Steampunk Video Games Art

Steampunk is cool! Most of the time when I stumble-upon a steampunk related piece I end up thinking it’s pretty great, but in this case it’s absolutely amazing! Good video game art is always fun to find but when it’s done in steampunk style it’s funky, edgy and fabulous. In short, better.

When it comes to unique art the challenge is to create something different, seeing something simple but also innovative is probably the answer to the challenge. There’s no doubt that Katy Irons from Ulylla Designs is doing it right! She managed to combine two great things in her paintings, video games and steampunk.

Her paintings are all 100% hand made. She starts by fine lining the characters she wants to create  and after that she adds all of the character’s details making her art work more professional and real life looking. Then the real magic begins, using only pens… Yes..no fancy markers or special paints, she gives it the special metallic look, steampunk style and 100% awesome. In her great collection you can find lots of beautiful video games themed creations such as Mario, Pikachu, Lara Croft, Halo, Sonic, Crash Bandicoot and much more. You can check out all of her great work on her instagram and Facebook accounts.

Steampunk Pikachu

Pikachu looks like he’s dying to go to the bathroom, but has to hold it in for a few more minutes.

Steampunk Mario

Sorta looks like Pinocchio in this one after telling a lie or two.

Steampunk Tribal Tomb Raider: Lara Croft

Lara Croft has never looked so robotic, but it doesn’t make her any less awesome.

Steampunk Sonic

Cyberpunk Isaac Clarke from Dead Space

Halo Masterchief

Steampunk Tribal: Crash Bandicoot

There’s something sinister about robots smiling with a full set of teeth. While Crash isn’t evil, he sure looks that way in this one.
