The FrogLog Saves Wildlife from Swimming Pools

It’s not something we think about, but our pools can be a real danger to wildlife. The $30 FrogLog aims to help with this problem. It’s an inflatable escape ramp that attaches to the side of a swimming pool so that small animals that find their way into in the pool can get back out and not die.

If you own a pool, the FrogLog is a good idea – if you care about wildlife that is. If you don’t than you are a big meanie. Even the meanest of you would still get sick of fishing dead frogs and lizards out of your pool, I imagine.

So get a FrogLog. It Just sounds cool on your tongue. FrogLog… FrogLog… Now it has loss meaning. FrogLog. Nope, still sounds awesome.

A droolworthy pool

tournesol_pool_1

The Tournesol is a pool that’s ahead of its time. The dome structure, envisioned in an Acrylic material called Hi-Macs, gives it an iconic appearance. The structure was refurbished earlier last year, and the transformation is nothing short of breathtaking.

Oh, did I mention the dome is inspired by a sunflower, and can open up in the sunlight?!

Water-ception

oasis_fountain_1

It may sound a little strange and redundant, but swimmers get dehydrated, and constantly need fluid intake. Obviously chlorinated water, even though it seems logical, isn’t the healthy solution. The Oasis, with its rather poetic name, is a drinking water fountain that allows swimmers to stay hydrated while doing their laps.

Designed with a very organic form, almost looking like a stingray in the water, the Oasis uses the swimming pool’s water as a reservoir, purifying it so that it’s fit for consumption. Its design also allows it to fit onto the lane-lines and therefore stay fixed and above the surface. I’d much rather drink water from the oasis than from the pool, because *ahem ahem* it isn’t just the chlorine I’m worried about.
