This ATARI is such a TEASE!

atari9000_00

Gotta love this blast from the past! The ATARI 9000 is a hybridization of vintage fun and new tech that both old-school players and modern gamers will dig!

Lovers of the 1980s platform will instantly recognize the classic ATARI joystick and paddle controllers. This means throwback playing appeal for former players and an entirely new style of playing for younger gamers! The asymmetric tablet offers scrolling, zooming, and use with a stylus (the removable joystick handles doubles as one!). Users can take it on the road, playing directly on the device, or connect to a TV at home to share the fun with friends! Whichever playing style you choose, you’l have access to a vast library of classic and modern titles!

No Bikes Were Harmed in the Making of this Moto!

cracer_01

The cafe racer trend has spit out some of the most creative bike builds in history, but the consequence of customizing is leading to the extinction of classic models. The c-racer was created in response to this trend and is instead built around a new donor bike – the Skyteam Ace 125, a modern replica of the iconic Honda RC 110 from the 1960s. This means no harming of historical bikes and 0 miles on the odometer for the new owner!

It’s been designed from what Nikos Manafis’ refers to as a nostalgic retrofuturistic approach. For the futuristic part, inspiration was drawn from earlier ideas about the future – a seamless monocoque body with art deco influence from the 30s, and a 80s futuristic movie flair. The monocoque body is made using aerospace grade fiberglass to ensure high strength and flexibility, important factors for the cantilever design.

Cafe racers aren’t designed with ergonomics in mind, and the c-racer is no exception. The user experience, however, is enhanced by an exaggerated lean-forward riding position that invites the user to “hug” the monocoque body. In this position, the sense of speed is increased and the rider’s gaze is directed straight ahead on the road as well as the minimal motogadget gauge.

Need for Speed: Santa Edition

santa_ride_1

Ten days back, the entire world was celebrating Christmas. Designer Nikos Manafis, was up to something a little out of the box. He was pimping ol’ Saint Nick’s ride. Yes, that’s what we call him now… Saint Nick and his hover-sled.

This absolutely mental sled seems perfect for a man who needs to cover the entire world in a single day delivering gifts. And since he’s been doing this for centuries now, he really deserves the upgrade, don’t you think?!
