Solar Bag can purify water while it’s being transported

Asmita Prasad:

In the developing world, access to safe drinking water is a major concern and people often have to walk many miles per day to bring potable water back to their homes and families. According to reports, water-borne diseases kill more people in Africa than war and violence which is a very telling sign of the scarcity of pure water in the region. Water purification using UV rays is one of the more popular methods these days though most such apparatus are not geared to meet the challenges faced by people who need to walk several miles per day to get water. Created by Marcus Triest and Ryan Lynch, the Solar Bag is one creation that seeks to tackle the problem of water purification while it is being transported from the source to homes by the locals.

The iPhone is perhaps the world’s most coveted touchscreen phone at the movement. However, like most touchscreen phones, the iPhone too requires touch calibration every now and then. The Spike Keyboard Case is just the product that adds the functionality of a physical QWERTY keypad to the touch-only iPhone.

Stair Rover skateboard can apparently travel down a flight of stairs

Asmita Prasad:

Skateboarders really don’t have the word “pain” in their dictionaries since they insist on trying to skate over every known surface in their proximity. Even though most surfaces with clean sharp edges are easily conquered by skateboarders, stairs remain the illusive metaphoric summit. For skateboarders that just don’t have the time to perfect their technique and try and take on stairs with their regular skateboards, the Star Rover skateboard might be just the thing. Created by Po-Chih Lai, a product designer based in London, the Stair Rover is said to be able to navigate the stairs with the same ease as a regular skateboard travels around regular obstacles.

Apple’s decision to offer the iPad with the Webkit on iOS as the sole browser option has not deterred browser giants Mozilla from trying to shoe in with a simple product for the famous tablet. According to sources, Mozilla is hard at work trying to develop a Webkit-based browser called Junior that features a new user interface by shunning the regulatory URL bar. In the name of simplicity, a secondary level of the browser’s functions has been pushed into one and users will be allowed to have multiple windows at one go.
