An Arts & Crafts Kitchen in Kent

kent_01

If you’re easily made envious, don’t even think about looking at this Shaker kitchen design from deVOL! First, it’s in a big spacious room with impressive high ceilings, loads of light, and original wood paneling. It’s akin to walking into a designer restaurant or old school dining hall. The design is centered around a beautifully renovated parquet floor, the warmth of which is reflected in the table and island. A nice contrast to the wood, Opal Carrera Quartz countertops wrap around the sink and stove, giving it a light, industrial feel to go with the vintage pendant lamps hanging from the ceiling. “Pantry Blue” base cabinets, subway tile, a farm style sink and brass fixtures give it charm to match the country house in which it belongs – just a stones throw from London in the village of Chislehurst in Kent.

Island Fever

seb_01

Tempo is the latest addition to the Sebastian Cox Kitchen by deVOL and a innovative cross between a prep-table and an island. This new piece stands on slim, elegant legs and features a very unusual mixed material worktop, two integrated ovens and two domino hobs side by side. It’s versatility makes it dually functional as a built-in in the kitchen, or simply as a standalone piece that can be designed to any length and to incorporate as many appliances and as much storage as the user needs. So simple and so unique, this beautiful piece of furniture is a perfect finishing touch to make a kitchen whole.
