I-O Data hits back with a new line of USB 3.1 Gen2 portable SSDs, the SDPX-USC. Available in two different storage capacities: 240GB and 480GB, these compact and lightweight SSDs are equipped with a durable aluminum enclosure, a USB 3.1 Gen2 connection interface (USB Type-C & USB Type-A conversion cables included), a LED indicator for checking the connection status and a diamond cut logo on the top plate.

In addition, you can download ‘Sync Connect’ automatic backup app, ‘Mach Copy’ file copy app and DiskRefresher3 SE’ data erasing app for free. Netac Launches Z2 USB 3.0 Portable SSDs

Here we have a new line of USB 3.0 portable SSDs from Netac, the Z2. Coming in three different storage capacities including 128GB, 256GB and 512GB, these compact SSDs (Black & Rose Gold color options) are equipped with a durable aluminum enclosure, MLC NAND Flash memory chips, and a micro-USB 3.0 connection interface.

Corresponding to UASP, the Z2 SSDs support for Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 or above and Mac OS X 10.5 or above operating systems, and promise to deliver read and write speeds of up to 420MB/s and 370MB/s, respectively.

Measuring 67.4mm x 67.4mm x 9.8mm and weighing 49.6 grams, the Netac Z2 SSDs are available now for around $81 (128GB model), $122 (256GB model) and $228 (512GB model), respectively. [Product Page]

SanDisk hits back with a new line portable SSDs namely the Extreme 500. Coming in three different storage capacities including 120GB, 240GB and 480GB, these shockproof and vibration proof SSDs feature a USB 3.0 connection interface (USB 2.0 backward compatible) and come with SanDisk SecureAccess software that provides 128-bit AES file encryption and password protection.

Supporting Windows 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista and Mac OS 10.6 or later operating systems, the Extreme 500 portable SSDs can deliver read/write speeds of up to 415/340 MB/s (120GB & 240GB models) and 430/400 MB/s (480GB model), respectively.

Samsung has introduced a new line of portable SSDs namely the T3. Coming in four different storage capacities: 250GB, 500GB, 1TB and 2TB, these palm-sized SSDs are equipped with a strong, shock-resistant metal case, a USB 3.1 Type-C connection interface, a built-in AES 256-bit hardware encryption and UASP mode.

Compatible with a range of USB supported devices, including the latest Android smartphones and tablets, and computers with Windows or Mac OS, the T3 portable SSDs promise to deliver a transfer speed of up to 450MB/s.

Measuring 74mm x 58mm x 10.5mm and weighing 51 grams, the Samsung T3 portable SSDs will hit the market from early March, prices unannounced yet. [FoneArena]
