7 Awesome Star Wars Drones

Star Wars fans literally have thousands of merchandise that they can buy. But nothing will be as cool as the ones that I’m about to show you. I am not talking about action figures or posters, but drones. Drones that can actually fly. These 7 Awesome Star Wars Drones are just what you need to complete your craving for the most authentic Star Wars merchandise. There’s the Millennium Falcon drone, RC Tie Fighter drone, X-Wing Starfighter drone and more. All these drones are available on Amazon and are just a click away.

Star Wars Remote Control X-Wing Starfighter

The X-Wing Starfighter RC drone is made from crash-resistant foam body. It can take a bump here and there but don’t take it too far. It uses 2.4GHz communication which ensures ranges up to 250 feet away. The remote control is well designed and is pretty straightforward. There is an analog stick for moving forward and backward as well as one for moving up and down. The combination of white and gray along with Star Wars branding looks cool. All this comes in a neat box with a lot of Star Wars graphics. If not for flying, it’ll make a great showpiece.

Star Wars X-wing vs. Death Star RC Drones

We saw the X-Wing Starfighter just now. This one comes along with the Death Star and is apt for two people to battle it out. This can be combined with other Star Wars drones for the most epic battles. The Death Star hovers automatically and shoots at your X-Wing Starfighter. All you have to do is hit the Death Star consecutively for three times to take it down. This one works on 2.4GHz communication and the range is somewhere near the 200 feet mark. Make sure to buy 6 AA batteries.

Star Wars Remote Control Millennium Falcon Quad

The Millennium Falcon is the most iconic starship in the Star Wars universe. Imagine flying one of those yourself. This Star Wars RC drone is really compact and comes with 4 rotors inside the body of the starship. The remote control is similar to the ones we’ve seen above and offers simple controls. There is onboard gyro stabilization for a smooth flight and the 2.4GHz communication offers a range of up to 200 feet. It requires 6 AA batteries to run which is not included in the set.

Star Wars RC Tie Fighter Advanced

This one is a uniquely designed Star Wars RC drone. The remote control also looks extremely good thanks to the combination of black and gray along with the Star Wars branding. This Tie Fighter, used by Darth Vader in Star Wars: Episode IV is a must have for all Star Wars fans. The unique design and the placement of the propellers will just sweep you off your feet. The drone is made of a crash resistant material which ensures protection from the toughest crash landings. It is intended for flying outside and requires 6 AA batteries like the rest of them.

Star Wars Speeder Bike Remote Controlled Drone

The Speeder Bike RC drone looks cool if you ask me and the Scout Trooper on the bike just adds to the looks. Let me remind you, the Scout Trooper doesn’t have any functionality. The Speeder Bike has 4 propellers attached on all 4 sides and there is gimmick gun which projects outwards. The best way to enjoy with this one is to get your friends to buy them as well. Then head outside and race against each other through obstacles making sure that you don’t crash in the process.

Star Wars Remote Control Millennium Falcon XL Drone

This one is very similar to the Millenium Falcon drone that we just saw above. I said that one was compact and if you wanted a larger drone, then the Millennium Falcon XL is what you should get. It features the same design with the 4 propellers placed inside the body. But this one is much larger. And when I say larger, I mean it. Take a look at the picture for your reference. Since this a larger RC drone, it comes with much more controls than the smaller one. There is a barometric pressure height lock system and 6-axis gyro for the smoothest flight possible. Even though this one is much larger than the other ones on this list, it requires only 4 AA batteries.

Star Wars Star Destroyer Drone

The last one on this list is my favorite because of the level of detail that has gone into this one. It looks extremely well made and the propellers on the back of the Star Destroyer along with the other intricate details make it one of the most awesome Star Wars drones out there. There are 4 rotors inside the body of the drone, just like the Millennium Falcon drone. The remote control uses a combination of black and white and goes well with the drone itself. The whole body of the drone is made out of crash resistant foam and this one too requires 6 AA batteries to function.

20 Coolest Star Wars Backpacks

Star Wars Chewbacca Furry Backpack

Whether you’re carrying school stuff, baby items or a laptop, it’s better to do it with a Star Wars backpack, just because it’s cooler and looks better.

We know big Star Wars fans (and even the smaller ones) look for every opportunity to show off their love for the best movie saga (it’s much more than that at this point) ever made, so we put together a list of the best looking Star Wars backpacks in our galaxy, which we’re pretty sure you’ll be very happy with:

Star Wars Baby Characters Backpack

If there was one word to describe this Loungefly Star Wars baby characters backpack is sweet. Star Wars and sweet is a great combination. I love that they included some of the more minor characters like Greedo, or a blonde Luke Skywalker, who I’ve never seen before.

Star Wars Rebel Alliance Backpack

What I love about this Star Wars Rebel Alliance backpack is it’s not too “out there”. The orange and white-ish colors of the pilot jumpsuits, and the emblem of the rebels. You don’t need more than that.

Star Wars Millennium Falcon, X-Wing & Death Star Backpack

This Star Wars backpack is perfect for those who love to see space battles, or at least portray them on their back, featuring the Millennium Falcon while X-Wing ships and TIE fighters battle around the Death Star. I wonder how it ends.

Star Wars BB-8 Backpack

The artwork and design on this BB-8 backpack make it look like you’re actually carrying a droid on your back. A cute, adorable droid.

Star Wars 3D Molded Nylon Backpack

The Loungefly Darth Vader 3D molded nylon backpack is one of the most beautiful Star Wars backpacks you’ll get to see. The dark side has never looked as good on someone’s back.

Star Wars Tattoo Flash Print Backpack

Another Loungefly design, the Star Wars tattoo print backpack looks a lot like a teenager’s notebook would look like, if they had Star Wars on their mind all day. It’s also a nice little contrast to the grimness of the Darth Vader backpack. As someone from the Wu Tang clan once said, ‘diversify your backpacks’.

Star Wars Rebel Squadron Pilot Backpack

Another Rebel Alliance backpack, only suited for carrying laptops, and not your general backpack things, although I’m sure they fit in. That’s a plus, and also the Star Wars Rebel squadron pilot backpack has a bit more style to it than others. It’s not just about the logo. If you pay close attention, it looks like the bag has small wings. Maybe if you imagine hard enough, you’ll actually achieve lift off.

Star Wars Chewbacca Furry Backpack

If cute is what you’re looking for in a backpack (and if you have little kids, I’m pretty sure you are), look no further than the Star Wars Chewbacca furry backpack, which is overflowing in adorableness. Not sure why, but Chewbacca looks angry. Maybe he doesn’t like being this small.

Star Wars R2-D2 Knapsack Backpack

Just like the real R2-D2 droid, this Star Wars R2-D2 knapsack backpack is cute, compact and very useful. It also doesn’t talk back like the film version, which is very good for bossy people who don’t like being talked back to.

Star Wars Millennium Falcon Backpack

I love black and white, I love blueprint designs, so you can imagine I really love this Star Wars Millennium backpack, and I imagine I’m not the only one.

Star Wars Classic Backpack

There’s something very refreshing about this comic-book style, making the Star Wars classic backpack fresh and retro all at once.

Star Wars Comic Book Panel Backpack

From a comic-book look and feel to an actual comic book panel. This Loungefly Star Wars comic book panel backpack is an excellent way to keep the people walking behind you entertained.

Star Wars Boba Fett Mandalorian Suit Backpack

Maybe the best-looking backpack on this list, this Star Wars Boba Fett Mandalorian suit backpack has a lot of things going on: The Boba Fett suit design, all with a combat kind of look. Oh, and it’s also useful for carrying your laptop around.

Star Wars Stormtrooper Backpack

There’s something very charming about a more minimalistic design. The Star Wars Stormtrooper backpack doesn’t scream out “Star Wars” or anything. It has the empire emblem and the design inspired by the suit, making it a beautiful backpack to walk around with.

Star Wars BB-8 ‘Join the Resistance’ Backpack

Slightly different and more “bag” looking than the first BB-8 backpack on the list, this ‘Join the resistance’ BB-8 backpack has more compartments, and even a call to action for those who are tired of the empire’s oppression. In real life, that might be your parents nagging you. But they might also be the ones buying you this backpack, so don’t resist too much when they ask you to take out the trash.

Star Wars BB-8 Lights & Sounds Backpack

Why another Star Wars BB-8 backpack? Because this one makes sounds and has lights, that’s why.

Star Wars TIE Fighter Pilot Suit Backpack

As much as I love being a light-side of the force supporter, TIE fighters are simply cooler, and TIE fighter pilots look like the most awesome thing in the world. So you can understand this Star Wars TIE Fighter pilot suit backpack really appeals to me and anyone else who appreciates the empire’s finest.

Star Wars Kylo Ren First Order Backpack

Straightforward and awesome. Kylo Ren is great character, so why not have him and the first order on a backpack? It makes sense.

Star Wars Moulded Stormtrooper Helmet Backpack

Just like the Darth Vader backpack from before, the Star Wars Stormtrooper helmet backpack has that ‘this isn’t a regular backpack’ kind of look to it, only in white.

Star Wars Boba Fett Backpack

What I love about the Star Wars Boba Fett backpack is that if you’re not a pretty big Star Wars fan, you’re not going to realize what it’s supposed to be. Just a regular backpack to some, something a lot more meaningful to others.

16 Perfect Star Wars Watches for the Punctual Fan

Star Wars BB-8 The Unit Nixon Watch

You can set out on your own to trek the galaxy and try to find a Star Wars watch you like; the options are endless. However, with a LEGO Star Wars watch line, a Disney Star Wars watch line and Nixon featuring a number of series for men and women, simply staying here and going through our featured picks could save you a lot of time, and hopefully help you find the perfect Star Wars watch for you:

LEGO Kids Star Wars Vader vs Obi Wan Watch

I think the coolest thing about this LEGO Star Wars Vader vs Obi Wan watch is the LEGO figures that comes along with it: Darth Vader and Obi Wan Kenobi wielding lightsabers.

Star Wars Imperial Darth Vader Watch for Men by Nixon

So why is this beautiful black watch by Nixon not just a Star Wars watch but a Darth Vader one as well? Well, the brass dial is embossed with the imperial logo, and the box has Vader’s helmet on it.

Star Wars R2-D2 Design Watch by Nixon for Men

There are some really awesome widgets on this Star Wars R2-D2 watch, including a red button to mimic R2-D2’s holographic projector.

Star Wars Darth Vader-Inspired Watch for Men by Nixon

The Nixon Men’s Star Wars Vader watch has a dial that’s inspired by Darth Vader’s ventilation mask, and the crown designed to reflect Vader’s meditation chamber. They did an awesome job with this watch.

LEGO Star Wars Boba Fett & Darth Vader Watch for Kids

The LEGO Star Wars Boba Fett & Darth Vader watch is a cute addition to the wrist of any Star Wars fan, young or old, part of an overall terrific line of Star Wars watches LEGO have.

Star Wars R2-D2 Stainless Steel for Men by Nixon

My personal favorite from Nixon Star Wars watches, this gorgeous ‘time teller’ design inspired by R2-D2 does a great job of bringing across the Star Wars vibe in the most minimalistic and beautiful way possible.

Star Wars R2-D2 Watch for Women by Nixon

Same R2-D2 design by Nixon, only for women.

Star Wars Millennium Falcon Watch for Men by Nixon

Don’t be “alarmed” by the dark colors. This Nixon Men’s watch is inspired by the Millennium Falcon as it goes into lightspeed, with tumbled gunmetal to match the Falcon’s exterior.

Star Wars Stormtrooper Collector’s Edition Watch

A fantastic, clean black & white Star Wars Stormtroopers watch by Nixon. My personal favorite feature is the kill-stun emblem, which makes me laugh because they always miss anyway.

Star Wars Stormtrooper Time Teller P Collector’s Edition Watch

Same same but different. This Nixon Stormtroopers watch offers a much more subtle design, which includes the blaster Stormtroopers use to miss with for the seconds dial.

Star Wars Jedi Knight Leather Watch

Nixon do a great job of making little stuff mean a lot with their Star Wars watches line, including this Jedi leather-wrist watch, which includes a dark-light side chrono sub dial, and the Luke Skywalker Lightsaber dial along with the Jedi insignia.

Star Wars BB-8 LCD Watch

Kids usually look for very different things when shopping for watches. This BB-8 flashing lights LCD watch pretty much answers all their needs in terms of functionality and design.

Star Wars C-3PO Gold Watch

If you love gold, the Nixon Star Wars C-3PO stainless steel watch is perfect for you, or whoever you’re buying this as a gift for.

Star Wars Death Star Watch by Nixon

I just love this Nixon Star Wars Death Star watch, part of their Star Wars Time Teller series, whether it’s the Death Star surface as dial texture, or the laser blasters for the seconds dial. Wonderful piece thanks to the little details.

Star Wars BB-8 Watch by Nixon

Do I really need to explain? If you want a high quality watch referencing Star Wars and BB-8, this one is the perfect watch for you.

Star Wars Classic Stormtrooper Watch

Disney’s Star Wars watches offer a much more different style than the one we see by LEGO or Nixon, and not in a bad way, offering those who aren’t too subtle about them being Star Wars fans.

Star Wars Inspired Jackets

star wars REY SHIRT JACKET WOMENS

Among the endless stream of Star Wars items to flood our lives since Episode VII came out, something that stands out, which is difficult to do, are the Star Wars inspired jackets by Matchless London, which is mostly about keeping a certain look and feel from the film, not copy it completely.

The idea behind the Matchless jackets Star Wars line isn’t to copy them one for one from the films, but keep the distinct style of Matchless London with a Star Wars kind of twist.

Some might be closer to the origin than others. The Finn and Han Solo jacket more than slightly resemble their clothing from the films, while the Tie Fighter Pilot and the Rey jackets are more about providing inspiration, nothing more.

These jackets do provide something of a different way for Star Wars fans to look like their heroes/idols from the film series, but do it with some sort of original look. It can be a Star Wars jacket, but it can also be a rugged looking vintage one that happens to resemble something from Star Wars, nothing more.

For those interested, they do not come cheaply. The Han Solo Men’s jacket will set you back over £1000, although it hasn’t stopped people from getting these, with the popular sizes running out of stock. You can get them all here, with the The Tie Fighter Blouson being my personal favorite.

Five Funko Star Wars Mugs that Take Beverages to the Dark Side

Funko Star Wars Mugs

Funko has recently unveiled five Star Wars mugs that will appeal to both lovers of Lucas’ episodes and the new ones to be made under Disney’s umbrella.

It’s hard to tell which side of the saga Funko leans more to with its Pop! ceramic mugs, as some of the characters have appeared in both. Probably that’s for the best, as nobody will get to accuse the toy manufacturer of launching merchandise inspired exclusively from the latest episode. However, Funko seems to have a soft spot for the Dark Side, as there’s a 3 to 2 ratio. There are really a lot of ways these five mugs could be classified, so let’s not waste any more time and take a look at each and every one of them. Bear in mind that they’re listed in alphabetical order to eliminate any discrimination, especially since I love all of these five characters to bits (or at least four of them, since the white one lacks character).

Star Wars BB-8 Pop! Home Mug

BB-8 surely is one of the most beloved characters from Episode VII, even though it didn’t have that many lines (get it?). The app-controlled droid that Disney and Sphero launched a few weeks before the movie hit the theater was sensational, and some even went as far as to call it the best piece of merchandise to ever come from Disney. Now it’s Funko’s turn to surprise us with a really cute mug that comes at a fraction of the price of the droid, and is probably more functional.

With a capacity of 12 ounces, this mug is great for drinking tea, milk, or even soup, but it might be a bit too large for coffee. The design is also nice, as most of the mug resembles the… top side of BB-8 (not sure if I should call that a head).

To buy Funko’s Star Wars BB-8 Pop! Home mug, head over to Entertainment Earth, where you’ll be able to pre-order it for $9.99. The product will be available in April 2016, so you’ll have to wait for a couple more months to get it. The best part about pre-ordering from Entertainment Earth is that your card isn’t charged until the item arrives in stock. Also, you can get free U.S. shipping on orders of $79 or more, so make sure that you check out the other pop culture inspired items.

Star Wars Boba Fett Pop! Home Mug

World’s most famous bounty hunter has also been immortalized in mug form. The design is instantly recognizable, as the mug features Boba Fett’s iconic helmet, with two shades of green, red, black, and yellow.

Funko’s Star Wars Boba Fett Pop! Home mug also retails for $9.99 and can be pre-order from the same e-tailer as the one above.

Star Wars Chewbacca Pop! Home Mug

Yet another character who didn’t get that many lines of dialogue in Episode VII, Chewbacca is among the ones who have lived to see both Darth Vader and Kylo Ren in action. This is probably the most cartoonish-looking of the five mugs, and for a moment there, you might mistake it for a Chihuahua because of the big eyes and the teeth-baring grin.

Also retailing for $9.99, the Star Wars Chewbacca Pop! Home mug can be pre-ordered now for an April delivery.

Star Wars Darth Vader Pop! Home Mug

Cue The Imperial March! Daddy’s coming to breakfast, and he only drinks dark coffee. No, not black, but dark, as the side he’s affiliated to. However, this mug is not as frightening as the real deal, as Funko’s Darth Vader looks a lot more like the one from Angry Birds.

Imagine the technological progress we’re living if it’s possible to get a Sith Lord from a galaxy far, far away turned into a ceramic mug and placed onto your desk for you to enjoy your favorite beverage in it. And all the manufacturer is asking for that is $9.99.

Star Wars Stormtrooper Pop! Home Mug

While you know for certain who’s behind Darth Vader’s helmet, you can’t say the same thing about Stormtroopers. There really could be anyone in there, and from this point of view, I’d say that Stormtroopers lack identity. Probably that’s why the Finn character turned out so well in Episode VII. We got to see that not all Stormtroopers are created equal, and that there’s a real human being hiding under all that white shiny armor. Before I get carried away, let’s

The Funko Star Wars Stormtrooper Pop! Home mug can be pre-ordered now for $9.99, and while it may not represent the most loved characters of the saga, it does have an iconic design that can be easily recognized by Star Wars fans. It should be noted that this has the same capacity as all the other Star Wars mugs from this collection, meaning that you’ll only be able to enjoy 12 ounces of liquid, unless you’re able to invent a system to replenish the quantity automatically.

Funko explained that the reason why these mugs look like they were inspired by cartoon characters is that these were based on the memorable design of Pop! Vinyl Figures. Would I have loved to see other Star Wars characters turned into mugs? Of course! Would they have looked as good as these five? I doubt it. Unless it’s Yoda or R2-D2 we’re talking about, the other characters are not as adequate for such designs, so Funko might want to add those two to the current line-up.

The manufacturer advises against cleaning these in a dishwasher, so keep that in mind if you’re ordering any of them. On top of that, the mugs aren’t to be used in microwave ovens. Other than that, you can drink anything you want in them, especially if that’ll make you quote your favorite character. Needless to say, that’ll be quite the challenge in BB-8’s case.

Star Wars Death Star BBQ – Is This The Grill You’re Looking For?

Star Wars Death Star BBQ 2

OK, so the 4h of July is not really just around the corner and those sunny days are yet to come, but when you come across this Death Star BBQ set, it’s doesn’t matter if it’s snowing outside; you just want to light it up and cook something delicious on it.

Star Wars merchandise is the best, and never truly gets old. There’s no doubt that the latest installment, Episode VII – The Force Awakens evoked this Star Wars merchandise mania once again. Pretty much every week we stumble across new and may I add awesome Star Wars themed products, most of them are pretty sweet, but they have one thing in common: They’re not cheap, and this BBQ is no different.

Beside the fact that this is a Star Wars Barbecue, it’s a pretty decent although a bit expensive grill. I guess that the reason for this is due to the fact that this grill is an officially licensed Star Wars barbecue and its 100% made from stainless steel.  If you are eager to get this one on your wish list you should keep in mind that currently you can only pre-order it since it will only become available around late May 2016 – just in time for the BBQ season may I add.

According to the seller “The Death Star Barbecue has the power to annihilate an entire chicken. Or, in the right hands, cook an al fresco feast in classic, sci-fi style.”

Available for $143, on thefowndry. One final thing; don’t forget to invite your burgers and hot dogs to the dark side.

Disney’s Millennium Falcon Drone Goes on Sale

Disney Star Wars The Force Awakens Millennium Falcon Drone

Even though a new trilogy would have sounded impossible a few years ago, there still are a lot of fans thinking that the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie is the best gift Santa could bring them this year. For their kids, there’s a new range of merchandise that includes, among many other things, a Millennium Falcon drone.

Now that Mickey Mouse is officially Darth Vader’s daddy, we’ll get to see action figures of menacing Sith Lords and cute Ewoks sitting right next to Princess Elsa and her likes. To promote the upcoming Star Wars movie, the entertainment giant has teamed up with American RC vehicle maker Air Hogs to create a series of toys that are more relevant to our times. As such, there is an X-Wing drone, but more importantly, kids of all ages will get to pilot Han Solo’s light freighter, the Millennium Falcon, which has also been turned into an UAV.

USA Today claimed that the Millennium Falcon drone would cost $120, but Walmart sells it for $88, while Toys R’Us offers it for $109.99. Star Wars merchandise can get pretty expensive, with some older Clone Troopers costing way more than that, so the price tag of the drones shouldn’t shock anyone. It’s a real pity that more original space sagas, that even served as inspiration for Lucas when writing Star Wars (I’m thinking about Frank Herbert’s Dune here) don’t get to have such merchandise, not to mention that they get nowhere as much promotion as Star Wars. Truth be told, Lucas’ brainchild is far more commercially successful, and most people nowadays ditch originality for pretty designs and special effects, anyway.

Disney also thinks we should take a break from our obsession with R2-D2 and C-3PO. To help us do that, it introduced the BB-8 app-enabled droid, which was developed in partnership with Sphero. Touted by some as the most innovative piece of Star Wars merchandise, the BB-8 droid might not be the huge commercial success Disney hoped, as it costs $149.99. Sure, crazy Star Wars fans will probably turn a blind eye while opening their wallets with a huge grin on their faces.

Check out the above video to see how the BB-8 droid looks and works in real life.
