Lifebuoys Better in Numbers

oceanhope_01

Called the Hope of Ocean, this modern emergency response concept means enhanced lifesaving at sea! A single lifesaving floatation device is not only hard to spot but less effective in mass rescue. However, in numbers, they can be incredibly useful! These hang over the side of the ship. In the event it goes down (knock on wood), they are automatically released and begin to inflate on contact with water. They can then be linked together to form a larger lifesaving ring to keep the stranded individuals together and organized for easier rescue.

The Hope of Ocean concept is a Red Dot Award: Design Concept winner.

The Referee Is Always Right

time_whistle

Combining the functions of an electronic watch, an indicator, and a whistle, the Time Whistle hopes to be the ultimate match tool for a football Referee. Easier said than done, because given the high passion and spirit of the game, too much precision in decision may not go down well with the fans! A little bit of mind games is good!

Time Whistle is a 2014 Red Dot Award: Design Concept winner.

Fire Bombs

Love this clever design for a Fire Extinguisher! It has several water bombs – or balls if you’d like to call them that, which can be used instantly for small fires. It’s definitely a radical redesign that I’m seeing for the first time. Several tweaks to it and you can have a brand new take on how to put out fires!
