9 Disney Princesses Reimagined as Indian Brides

Snow White Indian

The most popular theme in Internet alternative fan art is taking Disney Princesses and giving them some new, unique look. Weddings aren’t excluded from this trend, but giving it an Indian twist is still something new and original.

Amrit Grewal who took the photographs for this project wanted to demonstrate how Disney can inspire multiple ethnicities’ aesthetics.

This was done together with Jasmine Nijjar, who worked as the Marketing Manager for Wellgroomed Designs, an Indian couture bridal gallery. Jasmine built a theme that used each Disney princess movie as the inspiration all while integrating traditional Indian bridal wear.

10 World Leaders as Modern Day Fashionable Hipsters

Abraham Lincoln

It’s hard to imagine Abraham Lincoln of Vladimir Lenin as fashionable, almost Hipster like characters. It’s good thing artists like Amit Shimoni do that creative thinking for us.

The Israel designer started HIPSTORY as a way of comparing Israeli leaders of the past with today’s leading men and women and also the different fashion trends.

The success of the project caused it to expand, and include other decision makers with a more global flavor.

5 Game of Thrones Characters Like They Were in a Disney Movie

Daenerys Targaryen

The Fantasy world of Game of Thrones or A Song of Ice and Fire, in the books and the TV Show, is a grim and unhappy place most of the time. Giving it the Disney touch suddenly has everyone smiling and happy.

Daenerys Targaryen

I don’t remember Daenerys Targaryen ever having a red dragon, nor has any one of those three been so chummy and smiling, even with their “mother”.

Tyrion Lannister

Few characters are as R-Rated as Tyrio at his absolute best, but even lecherous drunks can become PG-13 with the right artistic touch.

Cersei Lannister

Disney films has had plenty of bad bitches and scummy men featuring in them. I’m not sure Cersei would even be the worst of them.

Bran Stark & Hodor

It’s mostly grey, cold and grim as Bran and Hodor make their way up north. In a Disney film, not so much.

Jon Snow & Ghost

Ghost tears the spine out of people’s throats and Jon Snow rarely smile. Life is different in a Disney movie.

Art by Anderson Mahanski, a Brazilian animator, illustrator and aspiring writer who has worked for Disney and Mercury Filmworks and Nando Mendonça, also an animator and illustrator, as well as a theater actor and voice actor based in Rio de Janeiro.

10 Disney Characters in a Realistic, Unhappy Ending

Ratatouille

Fairytales are nice, and Disney does a great job of delivering us the dream of some legendary characters. However, in real life, the same characters might end up having a less than happy ending or even existence.

Simba

Not all lion cubs become the rulers of pride rock. Some of them end up being confined in a zoo.

Winnie the Pooh

Things aren’t looking up for bears as they have less and less trees to rub their backs on.

Ratatouille

In real life, little rats don’t become the puppet masters of inspiring chefs. They often get injected with stuff so we can have medicine and cleaning products.

Belle

Not all beauty just comes naturally, although some might suggest that there’s nothing beautiful about going under the knife for something that completely cosmetic and has nothing to do with health.

Bambi

This happens quite a lot where hunters roam free without anyone holding them back.

Ariel

Oil spillage kills mermaids too.

Mulan

Swords ain’t got a chance against pollution.

Alice

You need some strong hallucinogens to come up with that kind of wonderland.

Chicken Little

Some chickens get to live free, some end up in a bucket.

Dumbo

Not all elephants get to fly away and leave the circus.

These mashups are all from the awesome Tumblr blog Unhappily Ever After

For a less depressing outcome, check out Disney characters as Hogwarts students or as university students.
