Lamp, meet Clamp…

The Peliclamp looks a lot like a futuristic, minimalist alien. It latches on to things of intrigue and observes it from various angles with its slender, flexible goose-neck.

The designers at Canada based Gagan Studios really teach us a lesson in minimalism and good design with the Peliclamp. The lamp brilliantly executes its functions. The materials used for it allow it to achieve utmost minimalism. An extra bonus point for the leather branding on the clip, giving it a certain pizazz!

Putting the Light in Lightweight

It’s been a while since I’ve seen an iconic/memorable lamp design after the Pixar logo, Luxo Jr. Designers at Gagan Design in Canada have been working on a lighting design that is built out of aerospace parts. The Maverick lamp is as beautiful as it’s sleek. Resting on two wooden legs, the Copper tube houses a strip of LEDs in a way that makes the design ultra compact and awe-inspiring. And it’s all made out of aviation parts. The cherry on the cake is, Gagan in Hindi means “sky”. What a lovely coincidence!
