AOC has rolled out the new i2757Fm 27-inch IPS monitor. What makes this monitor special is that it supports MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link), enabling a direct connection with an MHL-compatible smartphone or tablet. The MHL support allows you to easily see your smartphone/tablet content (websites, documents, photos, up to 1080p videos) on a larger screen. Not to be outdone by ViewSonic's recent introduction of the 27-inch VX2770Smh-LED display, AOC's coming out with a large IPS monitor of its own. The i2757fh is being touted as a "borderless" panel, and the reason behind that claim is its slim 2mm bezel. Aside from those narrow characteristics, AOC's new 27-inch monitor also boasts a decent 1920 x 1080 resolution with 50,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio, 5ms response time, two HDMI ports and, naturally, the great viewing angles you get with an IPS unit. As far as pricing goes, AOC's slapping a not-too-shabby $349 tag on the i2757fh, but there is a Best Buy-only deal which knocks 50 bucks off of the original MSRP. AOC today introduced the i2757fh 27-inch IPS display with a bezel only 0.08-inch thick. It features a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 with a 50,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 16.7 million colors supported. What’s more, the display also provides five optimized display settings for text, Internet, games, movies, and sports. Other specs include a detachable stand, an included Screen+ software that can divide the screen into four self-contained work areas for improved productivity, and an Off Timer that shuts down the monitor automatically if desired. Dell has rolled out five new 2013 S Series monitors namely the 27-inch S2740L, the 24-inch S2440L, the 23-inch S2340L and the 21.5-inch S2240L and S2240M. The S2740L, S2340L, S2240L, S2240M are IPS models that provide a 7ms response time and a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, while the S2440L is a VA model that offers a 5ms response time and a 5,000:1 contrast ratio. All models feature Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 178/178 degree viewing angles and LED backlighting. The Dell S2740L includes VGA, DVI and HDMI ports, while the Dell S2440L, S2340L and S2240L come equipped with VGA and HDMI inputs. The Dell S2240M only provides VGA and DVI ports. LG is back with its latest IPS monitors namely the LG EA93 and LG EA83. The LG EA93 is a 29-inch monitor with a 2560 x 1080 pixel resolution, a 21:9 aspect ratio, a 300cd/m2 brightness, a 5ms response time, a 178/178 degree viewing angle, USB 3.0 and dual 7W speakers. The monitor offers several I/O options such as dual-link DVI, DisplayPort, HDMI and MHL. The LG EA83 is a smaller 27-inch monitor with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution, a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 350cd/m2 brightness and a 178/178 degree viewing angle. NEC has unveiled a new IPS monitor to its range. Called the MultiSync LCD-EA224WMi, this new 21.5-inch LED-backlight monitor provides 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 25,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 14ms GTG response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles. In addition, it also comes with two built-in 1W stereo speakers and features D-Sub, DVI-D, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. This new 27-inch LED-backlight monitor supports a native resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and provides 1000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 6ms response time and 178/178 degree viewing angles.
