LG’s LS860 ‘Cayenne’ visits the FCC, flaunts Sprint LTE bands

LG's LS860 'Cayenne' visits the FCC, flaunts Sprint LTE bands

After making the rounds with Mr. Blurry Cam, Sprint's rumored LG LS860 'Cayenne' handset has taken a breather from its photo tour and made a stop at the FCC. The federal filing reveals that the smartphone uses LTE bands tailored for the Now Network (CDMA 850 / 1900; LTE Band 25) and totes NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, SVLTE (simultaneous voice and data) and the usual suspects of WiFi b/g/n and GPS. If other details previously gleaned from the grapevine hold true, the mobile will be powered by a flavor of Android 4.0, pack a 4-inch WVGA screen and a 1.2GHz dual-core S4 processor. There's no word from LG or Big Yellow about the phone's official debut, but its FCC appearance means that it could soon show up packaged and properly photographed in the US.

Sprint’s rumored LG LS860 ‘Cayenne’ shows up once more, reveals hint of ICS

Sprint's rumored LG LS860 'Cayenne' shows up once more, reveals hint of ICS

Well, look who decided to make a sudden appearance yet again. Not long after receiving a quick, unexpected visit from the legendary (and very crafty) Mr. Blurrycam, the purported Sprint-bound LG LS860 has decided it was due for another showing. This time around, though, the Cayenne's a little more revealing than during its previous exhibition, flaunting its powered-on 4-inch, WVGA screen and what appears to be a flavor of Android 4.0 running on the background -- this would allegedly be paired alongside a dual-core, 1.2GHz S4 CPU, which is a slight change from what we'd previously heard. As far as whether or not LG's Cayenne will be involved in the next wave of LTE-enabled slabs headed to The Now Network -- for that, our friends, we'll have to wait to find out.

LG’s LS860 Cayenne gets a visit from the unsteady hand of Mr. Blurrycam

Just when you think Mr. Blurrycam bought a tripod, he produces this opaque gem purportedly showing LG's latest handset for Sprint. The LG LS960 Cayenne will apparently pack a 4-inch WVGA IPS display with a dual-core, 1.2GHz S3 processor like the Viper 4G -- plus that sliding keyboard, of course. There's no more details about pricing or availability, but if it's real we can probably expect to hear more later in the summer.

[Thanks, Korey]
