But, LEGO is no more considered child’s play! Master builders, artists, and LEGO enthusiasts all over the world are creating impressive LEGO builds that’ll blow your minds away. They are a result of their hours of dedication, attention to detail, hard work, and creativity. They can be considered works of art, and I love scrolling through these creations, admiring them, and feeling an intense surge of satisfaction at their perfection. 1. The new LEGO Back to the Future Time Machine

The new LEGO Back to the Future Time Machine is improved, detailed, and better than ever! The jazzed-up build features a Flux Capacitor light brick, gull-wing doors, and printed dashboard dates. You can add the different equipment from the different parts of the movie – including the lightning rod from the first film, and the hood-mounted circuit from Part III!

2. The Iron Man Mk 43

Created by LEGO Master Builder Ransom_Fern, the Iron Man Mk 43 is actually a mashup of two separate LEGO sets – the Infinity Saga Iron Man (code 76206), and the Eternals in Arishem’s Shadow kit (76155). The result is a figurine that’s much larger than the original Infinity Saga build, and arguably better looking too. Ransom_Fern spent two full months putting this piece together and the result is a much more proportional action figure, with a better silhouette, a great stance, and the same classic appeal.

3. The Fairground Collection set 10303 Loop Coaster

LEGO released the Fairground Collection set 10303 Loop Coaster as a part of the Creator Expert series which releases a unique set every two years. Using kinetic energy to complete the ride in one motion is an incredible feat in itself, since the size of the 36-inch-tall LEGO set is still compact by any standards. The 11 minifigs are lifted to the coaster’s top on an elevator using the winding motion of a manual crank. There is also the option to automate the function with a motor upgrade if you are willing to pay more money.

4. LEGO Speed Champions

This LEGO playset with 2 Mercedes-AMG racers lets you collect, build, and race your own LEGO Speed Champion. In fact, it’s just like the real thing – it’s been power-packed with original Mercedes design details. This one is a definite must-have for LEGO lovers!

5. The LEGO Kumbi Saleh 3020 CE

Using over 100,000 LEGO pieces, designer Ekow Nimako imagines the Kumbi Saleh 3020 CE a Ghanaian metropolis 1000 years in the future. This artwork is the centerpiece for his exhibition titled Building Black Civilizations and showcases details like nothing you have ever seen before, almost reminiscent of the Game of Thrones title sequence!

6. TheCasleFan

LEGO Stefano Boeri Vertical Forest Milan

Celebrating Boeri’s designs is TheCasleFan, a LEGO builder who has created a tiny replica of Boeri’s Milan project. The building is a scaled-down caricature of the original 2014 structure called Bosco Verticale, or Vertical Forest in Italian. TheCastleFan’s LEGO MOC (My Own Creation) really nails the details wonderfully. The building comes dotted with what really seems like countless plants, perched not just on each floor, but also along the walls. Balconies come with creepers that descend downwards, and solar panels on the terrace give the green building a greener touch!

7. The LEGO Classic Phone

Made from 572 bricks, the LEGO Classic Phone comes from the mind of a LEGO master-builder who goes by the name of Brick Dangerous. Inspired by a Paramount Collector Classic Series brand, they decided to create a replica that could decorate any corner of the house, filling the void left behind by the landline phone that used to be a standard of every modern household before Y2K.

8. LEGO Batmobile

Inspired by the rollercoaster movie plot, TaeYang Lee tried to recreate the film’s mood but didn’t come good with his own expectations. Later on, he discovered Mecabricks, a LEGO modeling tool, and hence came into existence this cool build. Just like the on-screen Batmobile this one too is set in a dark gloomy world which magnifies its sinister character. Those beaming headlights that seem to stare you right in the eye, or the flaming exhaust that warns you not to cross the periphery!

9. LEGO Luke Skywalker’s rugged X-34 Landspeeder

Well, it’s time for the Luke Skywalker’s rugged X-34 Landspeeder to take up the LEGO form. Yes, the Star Wars Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder 1,890-piece LEGO set has officially landed. The iconic orange Landspeeder set is 19-inches long and comes with a detailed interpretation of the exposed turbine engine on the left, a curved windshield, and cute little minifigs. Priced at $199, this detailed LEGO brick interpretation is not cheap by any means, but then, nothing is too expensive for Star Wars fans, or is it?

10. LEGO Globe

Once the user assembles this tricky LEGO set piece by piece, it spins too, and the printed names of the continents and oceans glow in the dark. According to LEGO Group Head of Global Marketing for Adults, Federico Begher, “What is so wonderful about this set is that, with a little imagination, it allows fans to discover the world through LEGO bricks. The globe is a symbol of dreams and aspirations of travel to come for all who are seeking a bit of adventure or for those looking to learn about our world.”

1. LEGO Technic Batmobile

While LEGO’s own Batman is a fun, playful, and comical little character, this particular Batmobile adapted from the new Batman film (starring Robert Pattinson) isn’t particularly toyish. It might be pint-sized, but it’s still a brutish, no-nonsense, crime-annihilating machine. The 1360-piece Lego Technic set is modeled on the Batmobile seen in the movie and comes with 2 unique ‘Light Bricks’ that illuminate the innards of the car, shining through the engine block and out of the grille to give the vehicle an eerie appeal.

2. The LEGO Vespa 125

As the press images give away, the entire LEGO scooter arrives in an interesting blue shade with many authentic details to tickle our memories. The model features a realistic design with two seats and a front wheel mounted on one side. For a far more interactive design, the LEGO Vespa 125 has a removable engine cover that reveals underneath an engine built entirely from LEGO bricks. The steering and kickstand are functional, while the Vespa logo and classic 1960s Italian license plate add to the detailing.

4. Daft Punk LEGO Helmets

Exactly a year ago, French electronic duo Daft Punk released a cryptic video titled ‘Epilogue’ on their YouTube. The video, without any words, announced that the musicians were splitting up after nearly 3 decades of redefining the electronic disco/funk genre. To pay tribute to them, LEGO builder Eliot O’Brien built out their iconic helmets out of LEGO. The design, which has nearly 4 and a half thousand votes on the LEGO Ideas dashboard, perfectly recreates the helmets’ full-face robot-inspired design. Modeled out of silver and golden bricks respectively, these small-scale ornaments perform an incredible hat-tip (or helmet-tip) to Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, better known by their official moniker, Daft Punk!

5. The LEGO Polaroid OneStep

With a relatively simple 538-brick design, the nearly-scale LEGO Polaroid OneStep features the iconic camera built to stunningly realistic detail (complete with the rainbow stripe across the front), with a functioning film tray and a piece of film that pops out when you rotate the gear on the side. Moreover, the camera even has the option of attaching a cloth strap for carrying the device around, along with its own LEGO box of SX-70 Land Film!

6. The LEGO Sonic The Hedgehog Green Hill Zone

The LEGO Sonic The Hedgehog Green Hill Zone is perfect for any videogame buff. Its brilliantly detailed design feels almost like a screenshot from the real game, and you can even customize the track by shifting elements and characters around, or extend it by procuring another box-set! If you personally ask me, this one definitely calls for a short, cute stop-motion video!

7. Planterior

Planterior keeps the shape and size of a traditional bulletin board and integrates a gardening system into its structure to bring greenery to any workspace. Describing Planterior’s inspiration in their own words, Dasol notes, “Due to the influence of fine dust and COVID-19, people, who do not have the opportunity to access plants outdoors, are increasingly putting plants into their homes…Home gardening and plant territories are gaining vitality [as a result].”

8. The LEGO Globe

The LEGO M 1000 RR scale model, LEGO Sony PlayStation 5 replica, LEGO Sun Earth Moon Orrery, and LEGO DeLorean are all on my checklist. And there’s one more going into the list of LEGO investments to secure my future. Designed in partnership with McLaren, LEGO Group has just revealed the LEGO Technic McLaren Formula 1 Race Car #42141 set, a 25.5-inch long, 10.5-inch wide F1 replica made from a staggering 1432 bricks. The set celebrates McLaren’s iconic papaya livery carried on the MCL35M race cars throughout the 2021 F1 season and comes with some pretty nifty details, including an actual V6-engine made from LEGO bricks, complete with moving pistons!

Designed and built by LEGO creator Mr. Platinum using 2800 LEGO Technic pieces, this absolutely delightful mini replica of the DMC DeLorean from Back To The Future comes complete with a detailed exterior as well as interior, functioning doors, glowing lights, and a Bluetooth controller that lets you remotely drive the little car around! The LEGO DeLorean is a stunning MOC (My Own Creation) that boasts of functioning headlights and taillights, glowing pipes around the car’s periphery as well as on the inside, motorized doors that open on command to reveal the detailed interiors, and for good measure, repositionable tires that become horizontal to resemble the car flying through space and time.

LEGO meets Architecture in these innovative + detailed constructions by master builders!

And my favorite type of LEGO builds is mindblowing architecture! These architectural constructions are a result of hours of dedication, attention to detail, hard work, and creativity. They can be considered works of art, and I love scrolling through these creations, admiring them, and feeling an intense surge of satisfaction at their perfection. And, we’ve curated the best of the lot for you to drool and go gaga over!

Speaking of Game of Thrones-esque magnanimous scenes, Rocco Buttliere, a Chicago-based architect has displayed his detailed skill and love of architecture with this Purple Forbidden City! Borrowing from the historic ages of the Chinese royalty, the design features a Hall of Supreme Harmony. Speaking of building this design, the designer says, “Finally, and probably most instructive to myself and perhaps others during this time of uncertainty, are a particular few words of a famous proverb by Laozi which kept me looking forward during this four-month undertaking: A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

This LEGO creation is basically Cyberpunk architecture come to life! The attention to detail, use of multiple colors, and towering height make this structure a complete eyecatcher. LEGO fanatic @geng_3dboy even added miniatures cars and buses to his work of art. I love the automobile detailing!

Benedek Lampert’s love for photography and LEGO can be seen in this autumnal scene that brings a mystical forest to life. In fact, so vivid is the image, it could easily belong to one of the scenes from JRR Tolkien’s epic novels! And you know, those little adventurers walking towards the mystical tree could easily be the ring bearers on their quest!

LEGO’s largest-ever set is an accurate and mind-boggling replica of The Colosseum! The intricate design, the attention to detail, and the medieval feels take me right back to the streets of Rome. This one is a must-try for all the history fanatics!
