I really like the clean simplicity of the design for this Mini Koo Non-Electric Speaker. Essentially it’s just a wooden amplifier but a beautifully crafted one at that. It’s made from walnut and fits all iPhone sizes to increase the volume of your music without cords or electricity. Very elegant.

Coke Ad Turns Magazine into Amplifying iPod Dock
Coca-Cola Brazil has created a unique ad for Capricho Magazine. The back page ad has tabs to allow you fold it up. You roll up the magazine, insert the ad into it’s own tabs and now you have an iPhone dock that not only holds your phone, it actually works as an amplifier too. I don’t think your home stereo has any real competition with this one but check out the video below to see (and hear) how it works:
Very creative and smart advertising because not only will consumers save the ad, they will save the entire magazine to use as an on-the-go amplifier. Simple and effective, you could easily recreate this with any other magazine with a thicker ad inside it. Not only that, it’s totally green as it’s 100% recyclable. All around win. (via foodiggity)
Massive Horn iPhone Amplifier
Riiicola! As much as I’d like to ridicule the outsized proportion of this Natural Acoustics iPhone Amplifier compared to the iPhone, it is admittedly a gorgeous piece. Made of ceramic, this handcrafted passive amplifier projects music via it’s natural horn curvature shape without any power. The horn speaker sits atop a walnut base. The whole thing just looks pretty stunning, a functional conversation piece for your living room or bedroom. At $499, it’s not too bad if you consider it as both a decoration object and a speaker.
