Anti-paparazzi Scarf Ruins Flash Photos

Are you worried about paparazzi taking your photograph when you don’t want it? It’s pretty tough being a big star. Good thing that the $376(USD) asking price for this scarf is just peanuts to people like you then. It’s specifically designed to ruin all of those flash photos.

It was created by Saif Siddiqi and is called the ISHU Anti-paparazzi Scarf. Basically it is coated in a highly reflective material that will screw up a camera’s exposure settings when bright flashes are used. Perfect for big deal people who hate photos of themselves. Yes, vampires. But also celebs.

Apparently, some celebrities have started using it already, so I’m sure it is becoming a must have item in Hollywood. Like most fashion accessories, the price will likely go up too if famous people are starting to wear them.

Betabrand Launches Anti-Paparazzi Flashback Collection

We’re not sure how appealing this will be to the common person who isn’t routinely assaulted by paparazzi, but it’s an interesting concept nonetheless. Created by DJ Chris Holmes, the Flashback collection is a line of garments coated in crystal nanospheres that reflect light, which makes the clothing light up when photographed with a flash. This has the effect of ruining photos, by messing up the camera’s exposure settings. When not exposed to a flash, the fabric looks pretty normal. Currently being crowdfunded, the Flashback Photobomber Hoodie requires a $205.20 pledge to own, while the suit jacket pictured above is $406.30.

Anti-Paparazzi Clothing Makes You Photo-Proof

You and I may not be superstars, but you may still be interested in Anti-Paparazzi, since it will protect your anonymity and privacy. The concept clothing line would use highly reflective thread to reflect light from cameras and obscure your features by overexposing the image.

The series currently consists of a blazer, scarf, and hooded jacket, but creator Chris Holmes may end up adding more types of clothing if there is a demand for it. Supposedly, it ruins any photo of you that people take regardless of what kind of camera they are using – assuming they use a flash. Check out the image below to see how it would transform Steven Spielberg into an otherworldly apparition.

It’s pretty cool how it makes people look like ghosts who just strolled in from heaven.
