Phonejoy GamePad 2 Bluetooth Controller

Phonejoy GamePad 2 Bluetooth Controller 01

T’is the season to play mobile games, since most youngsters are enjoying the holidays right now, and turning to Bluetooth controllers such as Phonejoy’s GamePad 2 is by far a better idea than tapping the smartphone’s display frantically.

Touchscreens represent without a doubt an evolution in terms of user interfaces, as using QWERTY (or even worse, numpad) keyboards on mobile devices has always been more time-consuming. Despite that, when it comes to mobile gaming, most prefer doing the old-fashioned way, with hardware buttons and gamepads. Blame console gaming for that, if you will, as there are several generations who grew up gaming on Nintendo, PlayStation or Xbox consoles. On top of that, hardware buttons also give us more control over what we are doing, not to mention that our reactions can be better coordinated when using a gamepad. In this context, using the Phonejoy GamePad 2 Bluetooth controller when gaming on a smartphone should be seen as something natural.

The controller developed by Phonejoy Solutions extends to accommodate smartphones of various sizes. You might have seen tablets with hardware gaming controls on each side of the display, and while in some cases these buttons are built into the body of the devices, in other cases they just attach to the tablet using some kind of dock. Phonejoy’s GamePad 2 falls in the second category, for an increased versatility. The manufacturer advertises this device as being platform agnostic, so it will work equally well with iPhones and Android devices.

Phonejoy’s GamePad 2 Bluetooth controller sports all of the buttons you could possibly need while gaming: shoulder buttons, a joystick, and action buttons. Obviously, some of these can also be used for navigating through the app drawer, but it’s gaming that it was built for.

Since it includes 12 powerful stainless steel springs, expanding and contracting the gamepad is done in a precise manner. The design enables the controller to expand three times its original size, so it’ll fit all sorts of smartphones without any problems.

The built-in rechargeable Li-Ion battery charges via microUSB (computer ports and power adapters are equally fine), and a full charge should allow you to play games for up to 14 hours. That’s enough for a few days of commuting or even for a long trip. Just throw it in your backpack and get it out whenever you feel like gaming.

The following video should give you a pretty good idea about the types of games you can play with Phonejoy Solutions’ GamePad 2 Bluetooth controller.

If you’re into mobile gaming and think that Phonejoy’s GamePad 2 Bluetooth controller could help you improve your score, head over to Walyou Deals and get one at the discounted price of $59, 22% off the original price of $78. The gamepad is shipped for free to continental US destinations, and delivery should take place between January 3 and 6. Hurry up, as it will only be available in our store for five more days!

Game On with the SNES30 Bluetooth Game Controller

SNES30 Bluetooth Game Controller 01

Nostalgic gamers shouldn’t be left behind, and as the SNES30 Bluetooth Game Controller currently available through Walyou Deals shows, there are ways of helping them keep up with the times.

Developed by 8Bitdo Tech HK Ltd and sold on Walyou Deals, the SNES30 Bluetooth Game Controller combines modern technologies with retro design in a manner that makes both both worlds happy. After all, if you happen to love the way game controllers were designed 30 years ago, it doesn’t mean that you also need to be restrained by a short wire. Fortunately, nowadays both gaming consoles and mobile devices can work with wireless controllers, and since Bluetooth is a quasi-universal type of connection on these devices, you shouldn’t worry about any compatibility issues.

Judging by the name, this game controller marks the 30th anniversary of Nintendo’s Super Nintendo Entertainment System gaming console. Since this controller only works with PCs, Macs, iPads, Android devices and more, you won’t be able to pair it with the original console. Fortunately for nostalgics like you, there are SNES emulators available for most of these platforms, so you can use this 1:1 replica of the original SNES controller to play those games. Given the fact that you can play recently launched game with a controller that has the same number of buttons as 30 years ago, I guess that stand to show that not much has changed in this department.

Obviously, you also have the option to play all the latest titles with this old-school controller. Multiplayer gaming was also included in the equation, so you can either use the dual-keyboard code system on iOS, or you can emulate a Wiimote and use the SNES30 Bluetooth Game Controller on Nintendo’s Wii. On top of that, the controller can even handle touchscreen-only games (such as Shadow Fight 2 on Android), thanks to its touchscreen emulation.

Since it’s slim and portable, the SNES30 Bluetooth Game Controller fits not only in small backpack pockets, but also in the back pocket of your jeans. The fact that it works wirelessly suggests that one of the goals is to take it with you on the road. With up to 20 hours of battery life, the controller proves to be a trustworthy companion even on long trips.

As seen in the above picture, the SNES30 Bluetooth Game Controller is delivered with a 1.2 meter-long SNES style USB cable, should you decide to go full retro with this thing, an FC 30th Anniversary keychain, and a user’s manual. The included battery can be recharged more than 1,000 times, so you really shouldn’t worry about running out of juice.

The SNES30 Bluetooth Game Controller is available on Walyou Deals for $29.95, 14% off the original price of $35. By subscribing to our newsletter, you can also cut 10% off your first order, thus taking the price even lower. In case this controller is up your alley, you should get it while it’s hot, as the deal expires in one day. Free shipping is offered within continental US.

OnePlus’ Next Product Will Be a Game Changer

OnePlus Gaming Controller 01

The Chinese company behind yesteryear’s most famous (and sought after) flagship killer is preparing to launch a new product, and by the looks (or teases) of it, OnePlus has a game controller in store for us.

The official launch of OnePlus’ next big thing has yet to happen, and the company has decided to tease the world (as it always does) with a few images that don’t even depict the product, but suggest pretty clearly what it might be. Basically, the new device is a “game changer,” but the company assures us that it’s neither a smartphone, nor a tablet. As I doubt that OnePlus will launch a gaming console straight away, I’m willing to bet it’s a game controller that we’ll get from Oppo’s subsidiary.

In a post on the company’s official forum, OnePlus mentioned that:

“It’s been a little over a year since OnePlus was founded, and while we launched with our flagship killer smartphone, we have, and always will be, a technology company. Innovation and revolutionary ideas that shake up the industry are what OnePlus has built itself upon.

The One was created to disrupt the smartphone world. The Power Bank was born to give our users more options and greater mobility. So, when it came time to think about our next product, we decided on a curveball.

It’s not a tablet, and it’s not a smartwatch. But it is a game changer.”

The way it is sold might be yet another problem with the OnePlus game controller. The 10,000 mAh made by this company is already out in the wild, despite the official website saying that it is “Coming Soon,” but Chinese stores sell it at twice the launch price. Sure, most of these stores offer free shipping around the globe, and it’s really anyone’s guess that the shipping costs are included in the price we’re paying. However, instead of paying $29 or more for the OnePlus’ power bank, people might be better off with Xiaomi’s $24 16,000mAh Mi Power Bank.

That being said, OnePlus’ game controller might still attractive, supposing that the resellers don’t offer it at a steep price. Of course, there’s always the option of buying it off the manufacturer’s website, but given the shipping cost, it might be preferable to get it along with a OnePlus One smartphone, which still performs well, despite being a 2014 device.

There has been no word on how much the game changer will cost, but we don’t have that much to wait, as April is just around the corner. Brace yourselves!
