This Sculptural Bench Is The Thought-Provoking & Conversation-Starting Furniture You Need In Your Home

Wood has been the material of choice for furniture designers for ages galore. And no wonder! There’s something about wood that instantly adds a sense of zen and calm to any living space it is placed into. It puts your mind at ease while managing to radiate a feeling of warmth and tranquility. It’s a minimal material that holds a strong personality without any additional frills and tassels. I truly believe a well-crafted piece of wooden furniture can add a magical touch to even the simplest of living spaces. Minimal, clean, and almost always soothing, beautifully designed wooden furniture helps add the ultimate finishing touch to a room. And the Soul Sculpture Bench is a fine specimen of wooden furniture design.

Designer: Verónica Mar for Les Ateliers Courbet

Designed by Madrid-based designer Verónica Mar for Les Ateliers Courbet, the Soul Sculpture Bench is a minimalist bench that has a spiritual sensitivity, and is designed to balance and ground the energy of the space it is placed into. The bench goes beyond an ordinary tactile furniture design but instead intends to add a soothing and calming effect to any space.

The Soul Sculpture Bench is inspired by the recurring spiral patterns that are often seen and found in the universe, in the various galaxies, in the intricate DNA chains, and in the dynamic water currents. It aims to create a cohesive connection between nature and design, tying the two together seamlessly and subtly. As you look at the bench, you are reminded of the beauty of the vast universe, and of all the little bonds and connections that reside within it.

The wooden bench is designed to be a unique and versatile piece that can be placed seamlessly into both public and private spaces. It can merge perfectly with a private indoor setting, as well as a public area. It is designed to be a thought-provoking and conversation-starting seating solution, that encourages viewers and users to pause, reflect, and not only appreciate but discuss the dynamics of the vast universe, and the ever-changing natural world.

This Cozy & Chonky Lounge Chair Will Bring Some Art Deco Inspiration To Your Living Room

We often underestimate the importance of a great chair. When in reality, we really shouldn’t. We spend the majority of our day sitting on chairs, whether we’re working in our home office, enjoying a meal, or simply sitting and reading a book for leisure! Hence, this piece of furniture needs to be not only comfortable but ergonomic and aesthetic as well. An excellent chair design is not only a boon to your back and helps you maintain a healthy posture, but is also super comfy to sink into and will perfectly match the interiors of your modern home. And, a great chair to consider for your home is the Havana Lounge Chair!

Designer: LAB 15 for Eilersen

Designed by LAB15 for the Danish brand Eilersen, this Havana lounge chair is a cozy and chonky seat inspired by the Cuban chairs of the Art Deco period. The comfy and super-rounded seat features a pebble-like pouffe in its center which forms the main body of the chair. The bulbous pouffe can be accentuated with single or double arms and an optional backrest. The Havana chair is built of organic shapes, giving it a rather cozy and cushy feel.

The lounge chair can be used in multiple manners, either alone or together with other Eilersen’s sofas. The versatile chair is the perfect culmination of classic Danish design from the 1950s and old Cuban chairs from the Art Deco period of the 1930s and 1940s. “However, unlike the old ’50s chairs and Cuba chairs, our starting point was to create a lounge chair with a greater sense of ease and smaller volume density, which make it much more relevant in contemporary decor,” said LAB 15 co-founder Kristian Sofus Hansen.

The Havana Lounge Chair would make for an incredibly stylish addition to your living room. It can be upholstered in a large range of solid-colored, textured, or patterned fabrics or in leather. You can pick the option that suits and complements your living space the best, allowing you to create a living room that is elegant and sophisticated, with a touch of Art Deco style and inspiration.

The Nebula Lounge Wood Chair Is The Ultimate Seating Option For Modern Minimal Homes

And, a great chair to consider for your home is the Nebula lounge wood chair!

Designer: E-ggs for Miniforms

Designed by Italian design studio E-ggs for furniture brand Miniforms, the Nebula lounge wood chair is a versatile and unique chair that is available in a choice of three different bases. The wooden base of the Nebula lounge chair is exceptional for cozy home environments, while aluminum is an excellent choice for offices. The base with tubular metal legs allows the chair to harmoniously merge with a wide range of settings and scenarios.

Much like the aluminum base, the wooden base features a tilt-and-return mechanism that allows the chair to dynamically respond to shifting sittings positions, while also providing the warmth and subtleness of wood to the chair. It features a four-star base that is built using rounded planks, providing the chair with a distinctive design while also reflecting the teardrop shape of the Nebula series’ armrests.

“The lounge version of Nebula celebrates technology but keeps it low-key, eliminating any suggestion of stuffiness,” said Miniforms. The Nebula lounge wood seat is crafted from pure polyurethane. A soft version is utilized for the foam, while a harder and rigid variant is reserved for the shell, and they are fully recyclable. The Nebula lounge chair is definitely a smart and well-designed seating option for your home, although it is a bulky and space-consuming design, so it’s not recommended for homes with smaller real estate, as it may promote cramping issues. The Nebula Chair is an optimum option for homes with a generous amount of space.

The Bend Chair Looks Like Pure Chocolate But Is Made From Coffee Waste

A great chair or chairs is/are the backbone of your living space. A grave mistake we make is underestimating the importance of the perfect chair. When we really shouldn’t! We spend the majority of our day sitting on chairs, whether we’re working in our home office, enjoying a meal, or simply sitting and reading a book for leisure! Hence, this piece of furniture needs to be not only comfortable but ergonomic and aesthetic as well. The right chair is a boon to your back, helping you maintain a healthy posture, while also managing to perfectly complement the interiors of your home. And we may have found a pretty cool and sustainable one for you – the Bend Chair.

Designer: Waste is More

Designed by the Thai design brand Waste is More, the Bend Chair is built using coffee-based waste, recycled plastic, and wood. The simple and minimalist-looking chair’s seat, back, and arm are made from More’s signature PlasCoff material. The material combines recycled plastic with waste from coffee bean processing, making it a pretty sustainable option for your home!

The various PlasCoff elements are available in three neutral colorways – light beige Crema, a sandy-colored Latte, and a rich brown Espresso. The interesting part is that the deeper the shade, the higher the content of coffee waste. The tones contain two, ten, and twenty percent coffee waste respectively, so you can pick the tone that calls out to you and your living room.

The frame of the chair is built using locally sourced rubber tree timber, which is available in a wide range of finishes and treatments. The chairs can be equipped with a small or large backrest depending on the user’s needs and requirements. The users can also choose between an armchair or a chair without arms. The Bend Chair looks like pure chocolate, but unfortunately it isn’t edible. Its rich and decadent looks would make it a sophisticated and sleek addition to your home space, allowing you to add some wooden elegance without occupying too much space. The Bench Chair is the perfect chair to pick if you’re looking for a mix of ergonomics, functionality, sustainability, and good looks!

Herman Miller’s First Nesting Chair Is The Perfect Fusion Of Ergonomics, Innovation & Sustainability

Herman Miller’s supremacy in office chairs is pretty much undisputed. They’ve long since set their precedence, and have thoroughly maintained it. And you know how important a decision to choose the right office chair can be! We spend the majority of our day sitting on chairs, whether we’re working in our home office or a corporate one. Hence, this piece of furniture needs to be not only comfortable but ergonomic, and aesthetic as well. And to help simplify our decision-making process, Herman Miller unveiled their first nesting chair! Designed in collaboration with German industrial designer Stefan Diez, the nesting chair was first previewed at MillerKnoll’s Design Days in Chicago.

Designer: Herman Miller x Stefan Diez

Dubbed Fuld, the newly launched nesting chair is truly quite unique and like no other. It is an efficient and effective solution for reconfiguring your workspace without compromising on style, sleekness, and minimalism. Fuld is a revolutionary one-piece construction featuring an inverted Y shape, which ensures that the production process creates less water. The back is incorporated with elasticity, to ensure the utmost comfort as you shift and move around.

”I am thrilled to have designed the first nesting chair for Herman Miller,” said Stefan Diez. “There’s no other company that cares so much about engineering and quality. It’s very supportive, it’s quite unparalleled, very forward-thinking. The collaboration with Herman Miller never feels like it’s driven by constraints, but driven more by an idea. It’s clear what we’re working for: The product that comes out from the process is not a product that is a compromise, and that’s what I love.”

Fuld was constructed using two materials, both of which can be easily recycled once the chair’s lifecycle ends. An optional 3D Knit textile seat is available as well. It is built from 50 percent post-consumer recycled content, and to the chair’s dimensions, so no material is wasted.

The nesting chair is available in dipped-in-color options such as seat, seat-back, and legs in a single color, and in dual color combinations as well. Fuld is an excellent launch by Herman Miller and Diez that perfectly fuses ergonomics, innovation, and sustainability.

Add a layer of sophistication to your space with this chair designed for you and your pets

In the world of furniture design, there are pieces that serve a purpose, and then there are pieces that transcend mere functionality to become works of art. The “Quella” modern bend plywood chair falls firmly into the latter category, redefining the boundaries of traditional furniture design. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this chair seamlessly marries form and function, resulting in a piece that is not only comfortable but also a visual delight.

Designer: Dhiraj Choudhari

At first glance, the Quella chair’s distinctive C-shaped silhouette draws the eye with its graceful curves and elegant lines. This contemporary style challenges the conventional norms of chair design, inviting anyone who encounters it to experience seating in an entirely new way. But what truly sets this chair apart is the ingenuity behind its form.

The curvature of the Quella chair is made possible by the ingenious use of hardwood imported veneers. These veneers are meticulously selected for their quality and flexibility, allowing the chair to achieve its signature shape while ensuring durability and structural integrity. This combination of artistic vision and craftsmanship results in a chair that is not just a place to sit but also a statement piece that adds sophistication and style to any space. May it be your foyer, an extra seat in your living room, or a lounge corner for the bedroom. Its versatility extends beyond its unique design; it’s a versatile piece that complements various interior styles and adds a touch of elegance wherever it’s placed.

However, what makes the Quella chair even more remarkable is its unique approach to design. It caters not only to humans but also to our feline friends. As cat lovers, we know how flexible and playful these creatures can be, often finding cozy nooks and crannies to curl up in. The Quella chair, with its adaptable shape, takes this into account. It provides a space that is not only comfortable for humans but also inviting for cats, making it a chair that embraces the playful lifestyle of our feline companions.

This dual-purpose design is a testament to the thoughtfulness and creativity that went into creating the Quella chair. It shows that innovation in design doesn’t always have to be about reinventing the wheel but can instead be about reimagining how a traditional piece of furniture can be more inclusive and adaptable to our lifestyles.

These chairs can also be looked at from a different perspective. They can be used multipurposefully in an exhibition or an event location. When two of the chairs are put together, they can form a base for some decor that adds to the vibe of the event. If not, they can be used as extra chairs for a formal event. The Quella chair’s adaptability and striking visual appeal make it an ideal choice for event planners and designers seeking to create memorable spaces.

The “Quella” modern bend plywood chair is more than just a place to sit; it’s a work of art that challenges the norms of traditional furniture design. Its graceful curves and ingenious use of materials make it a visual delight, while its thoughtful approach to accommodating cats adds an extra layer of functionality and charm. The Quella chair proves that true innovation lies not just in the form of a design but also in the craft and thought behind it, making it a must-have for anyone seeking a unique and versatile piece of furniture that can elevate interiors and enhance event spaces alike.

And we may have found a pretty cool one for you – the Tila Chair.

Designer: Shepherd Studio

Designed by Shepherd Studio, the Tila Chair is truly a unique piece! Made up of hundreds of shiny spheres, the fascinating chair is intended to be an exploration of density. The unique-looking chair is partially inspired by the traditional game of marbles (also called Tila), and truly the chair is built using 210 stainless steel spheres that are supported by a tubular frame. The metallic spheres feature an intriguing chrome finish that reflects the chair’s surroundings, producing a visually pleasing and interesting interplay of light and shadow, that will capture the attention of any onlooker.

“We were curious to explore the possibility of having a chair that people can look through,” said Shepherd Studio. “A chair which would have openings for shadows and light to seep through, whilst also reflecting its surroundings.”  The studio said that they wanted to personify density as a mediator for possibility, and quite rightly the chair’s innovative design captures and encompasses the meaning of creativity and imagination.

The Tila Chair was commissioned by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (Baca) and displayed at the Expo Dubai’s Bahrain Pavilion. The chair is made to order, and the stunning spheres are hand-finished by the studio. The Pocket Chair Quite Literally Has A Little Pocket To Store Your Personal Items

Having an excellent array of chairs in our home is crucial. And if you’re wondering why, well, you shouldn’t. We spend the majority of our day sitting on chairs, whether we’re working in our home office, enjoying a meal, or simply sitting and reading a book for leisure! Hence, this piece of furniture needs to be not only comfortable but ergonomic and aesthetic as well. And, a unique and well-designed chair that would be an excellent addition to your home is the Pocket Chair.

Designer: Stone Designs for Blå Station

Designed by Stone Designs for Swedish furniture brand Blå Station, this is the updated and upgraded version of the Pocket Chair. The cozy and cushy-looking Pocket Chair looks quite comfortable to sit on, but what instantly grabs my attention is the little storage nook in the underbelly of the chair. The little storage nook is an ingenious addition since a major issue that many people are dealing with is space constraints in their own homes. Our modern millennial homes have many virtues, but one thing they lack is space. Smart storage solutions like the Pocket Chair can be lifesavers in such tricky and compact situations.

The Pocket Chair features a cup-like shape with a unique storage space under the seat. The storage section is a nifty space to store your personal belongings such as blankets, books, magazines, laptops, etc. “We came up with the idea in a ski resort,” says Stone Designs co-founder Eva Prego. “People pile up their goggles, helmets, and backpacks during breakfast and lunch so that it doesn’t pick up dirt from the floor.”

The newer version of the Pocket Chair has a lower back and arm support, which allows it to serve as a more comfortable corner with a cozy embrace. It is available in upholstered fabric or leather, and you can add contrasting colors on the inside and the outside. The Pocket Chair is perfect for other places besides your home as well – such as restaurants, bars, hotel lobbies, waiting rooms, and offices as it eliminates the need for tables, and creates a tidy and organized space.
