Nintendo Controller Notebook

nintendo controller notebook
Take notes, noobs. No literally, take some notes. This thing might looks like a legit Nintendo controller but it’s actually a legit notebook. Legit. It measures 8.25″ by 5.75″ and has a rubber 3D cover of a the d-pad that looks enough like an NES controller to fool the average person from a distance (granted it would have to be a pretty far distance since this notebook is over 8 inches tall and there’s that whole perspective and scale issue, but maybe just have an NBA center hold it or something and blur your eyes).
nintendo controller notebook back
The back looks pretty legit too. Inside are 120 unlined pages so you can write down the secrets to finally finishing Zelda or whatever it is you want to jot down. Is there a better way to take notes? No. Period.buy-now

Turn Your iPhone into a Game Boy with G-Pad

gpad Turn Your iPhone into a Game Boy with G Pad
The idea is quite simple (all the best ones are, right?)- add a silicone sleeve to turn your iPhone into a Game Boy-like device. The G-Pad does just that, giving you physical controls just like the og handheld distraction. The sleeve is designed to work with a specific Game Boy Advance emulator for iOS that puts the controls on the bottom of the screen. The G-Pad slides right over the onscreen controls, replacing them with a button overlay.

Everyone knows that all the best games were released back in the day anyway- Tetris, Donkey Kong, Mario, etc. Well at least the best for mobile phone gaming anyway- the simpler the better. That’s why games like Angry Birds and Flappy Bird are so popular- simplicity. Also people like birds I guess. Anywho, neat product that takes something new and brings it back to the good old days without losing today’s needed functionality (like Facebook and Candy Crush). (via coolest gadgets)

NES Style Plush USB Controller: It Actually Works!

plush-usb-game-controller

We’ve seen plenty of weird, funny, and cute controllers and stuff themed after the classic NES, but this is the first time we see a working plushie. This is the dawn of the hug & play age!

There’s a plethora of things you can do with a good NES-themed controller on your computer, but Adafruit’s Becky Stern created something different. By combining a Flora Arduino-compatible with the cutest plushie fabric, the result is a plushie that can be used to play the classics. And the best part about it is that she even made a tutorial so you can create your own. Need a better excuse to learn how to stitch? Because this is the real thing.
