Prime 1 Robotech VF-1J Veritech Guardian Mode Transforms from Money to Statue

Prime 1 Studio is giving Robotech fans something to add to their Holiday wishlists. It’s a huge and imposing statue of the VF-1J Valkyrie in Guardian mode. The transforming fighter jet is depicted just above water and narrowly evading a missile.

The pictures don’t do its size justice, but the statue is an incredible 33″ tall, 32″ wide and 30″ long. It comes with a detachable FAST Pack system that you can attach to its back, arms and legs. As with all Prime 1 masterpieces, this bird’s got details for days.

Transform into your mode with the least self-control and fly to Sideshow Collectibles, where you can pre-order the statue for $1499 (USD).

Fools Paradise Wolfool X Figure Sees Wolverine Taking a Much Needed Arcade Break

Last year, boutique toy maker Fools Paradise released Lowfool vs. Lowfool, a pair of figures that depicted Superman and Batman playing against each other on arcade machines. The second batch of Lowfool vs. Lowfool features an arcade legend himself: X-Men’s Wolverine.

As with the original Lowfool vs. Lowfool figures, Wolverine has a mustache and is playing a Street Fighter II parody arcade game as himself. Wolverine is bare-handed but the figure comes with his gloves, which in this incarnation holds his adamantium claws.

Fools Paradise is selling the Wolfool X figure for $255 (USD). As you can see, Logan’s opponent is not Cyclops or Sabretooth but Son Goku in his Super Saiyan 3 mode. That figure is already sold out, but of course you can find it on eBay.

Prime 1 Studio Doomsday Statue: Death of Savings

Prime 1 Studio has unleashed an epic statue of the only living being so far to have killed comic books’ greatest superhero: Doomsday. The massive statue stands over 38″ tall and comes with Superman’s tattered cape, which is based on Dan Jurgens’ fantastic cover in the climactic issue of the Death of Superman story arc. The statue’s exclusive version comes with an extra head.

I still remember reading their fist fight for the first time and being sad and confused that Supes died. How naive I was. Nowadays entire comic book universes live and die seemingly every year.

This collectible was created solely to devour money. Face your wallet’s demise at Sideshow Collectibles, where you can pre-order it for $1,699 (USD).

DC Collectibles Dark Nights Metal #1 Batman Statue: Polystonium

Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s wild comic book series Dark Nights: Metal is a merchandise machine. But even with its squad of evil Justice League Batmen, DC Collectibles is starting with the Dark Knight as his normal ass-kicking self.

This 12″ polystone statue is based on one of the many variant covers that DC Comics released for the series’ first issue, and was drawn by Capullo himself. You can pre-order it now from BigBadToyStore for $120 (USD), though you won’t get your hands on it until June 2018.

Sideshow Collectibles Batwoman Statue: Red & Black Cost a Lot of Green

Sideshow Collectibles recently unveiled a statue based on the gun-toting member of the Bat family, Kate Kane aka Batwoman. The stunning Premium Figure is depicted standing regally over the ruins of her Gotham apartment.

The 22.5″-tall statue is holding a Batarang, but for an extra $10 (USD) you can get an extra pair of hands that are armed with pistols.

You can pre-order the Batwoman Premium Format Figure for $500(USD).

PCS Collectibles Sagat 1/3 Scale Statue will Tiger Knee Your Wallet

Street Fighter fans, the king of muay Thai is coming for your money. Pop Culture Shock Collectibles recently unveiled its third-scale statue of Sagat, and it looks awesome. The extremely detailed statue is 36.5″ tall and comes in three variants.

The standard or EX version has no extra parts. Just Sagat grimacing at you while flexing his muscles. This one costs $1,000 (USD).

For an extra $150, you can get the Emperor of Muay Thai version. This adds an extra head with a scowling expression and an extra torso with folded arms.

Alternatively, you can spend your $1,150 on the Victory EX version, which depicts Sagat with a darker skin tone and no chest scar or eyepatch. This version also has a blue trim on its shorts instead of yellow and its two heads are wearing a muay Thai headband. It also comes with two torsos.

If your money’s not knocked out yet PCS Collectibles will deliver the killing blow with the 16″ tall Thai Guardian statues – the dog-like statues that are in the first two photos – which are sold separately for $125 per pair. You see now why they call Sagat the king.

Life-Size LEGO Thor Sculpture Took 290 Hours to Build

Everytime I see an awesome LEGO contraption, I always want to know what went into the build of it. This time out we have an awesome time-lapse video that shows the process as a group of LEGO builders as they created an impressive life-size Thor for San Diego Comic-Con 2017.

The build was to promote the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok that will be launching soon in theaters. As you might imagine, the statue took thousands of bricks, some glue, and a mallet.

The mighty Thor took LEGO Master Builders 290 hours to construct. See how they did it with this time lapse video. #LEGOSDCC #SDCC

I wonder what they do with these LEGO sculptures when these shows are over? Does someone get to take them home? Do they just smash it and reuse the bricks? Or do they end up in some Raiders of the Lost Ark style warehouse?
