Radio Flyer Landspeeder: Tatooine Transportation

Star Wars kids will absolutely love this X-34 Landspeeder from Radio Flyer. It doesn’t actually hover, but it does have a motorized drivetrain. You just need a VFX artist to go around with your kids and erase the bottom as they drive along. Problem solved.

It features an interactive dashboard with light-up buttons and even has sounds taken from the original Star Wars movie. It can carry two kids, and has two forward speeds (2mph and 5mph), and can also go in reverse. Too bad there are no droids to put in back.

It is powered by a rechargeable 12-volt battery and will be available exclusively from Toys ‘R’ Us. It’s available for pre-order now for $499.99(USD), with the first units expected to ship in September.

Sadly, its maximum load is 130 pounds, so I hope they make an adult-sized version. Kids get all the cool stuff.

This Cruise Ship Will Have a Go Kart Track

You can always play Mario Kart at home, but imagine how cool it would be to race in real life on a ship while cruising the ocean? You may soon be able to do just that.

Norwegian Cruise Line is building the ultimate amusement park on a boat. The soon to set sail Norwegian Joy will have a two-level, 833-foot go kart track that you can speed around while at sea. I think they are just recreating some lost Mario Kart levels for their own amusement. I approve.

And if that’s not enough, the boat will also have hovering bumper cars inside.

Let’s hope she’s seaworthy otherwise you will be playing “Davy Jones’ Locker Kart”. It might be a good idea to have those go karts equipped with floatation devices so they can perform double duty as lifeboats.

The Hauck NERF Battle Racer Is The One Toy We Wish Existed When We Were Kids

hauck_nerf_battle_racer_1

Man… kids these days have it good. Back when I was a child, I was lucky to play with slap bracelets, shitty plastic trikes, and Pogo Balls (remember those? No? Watch this!). But the Hauck NERF Battle Racer would have made my little head explode had I been given a chance to ride it as a kid. It features placeholders for up to four Blasters and a bunch of darts, “sporty 3 point steering wheel”, and a handbrake, so your little one can roam the hallways wreaking havoc on his foes. Of course, you’ll have to pay to the tune of $300 for this, and that’s not including Blasters or darts. But hey, at least your child has the option. Available starting today.
