MST3K Tom Servo and Crow POP! Figures Will Watch Crappy Movies with You

At this point you all know that Mystery Science Theater 3000 is on Netflix with new episodes. If you are a fan of the new version of the show or the old one from back in the day, you will want these new Funko POP! action figures. First up is none other than your pal, the gumball machine headed robot, Tom Servo.

Crow T. Robot is also here, complete with his lacrosse mask headgear, ping pong ball eyes, and plastic bowling pin mouth, parts which he claims are actually made from molybdenum.

I’m sure you could coax them both into sitting on the couch and watching bad movies with you. These MST3K POP! figures will land at Entertainment Earth in November and will set you back $10.99(USD) each.

To be honest, I like the original series better than the Netflix version. Maybe I just thought making snarky comments about cheesy movies was funnier back in the day.

Twitch’s latest marathon is a a six-day ‘MST3K’ binge

Mystery Science Theater THREEETHOUSANNNNNDDD Heads to Netflix!

I am such a big fan of Netflix – not because I can ever find any shows or movies to watch there, but for its original series. Specifically I really, really like Stranger Things. It was a bit creepy, a bit retro, and lots of fun. I binged the entire first season over the weekend, and I am now having withdrawals, and need to know why he left waffles in the woods. Now Netflix will soon add another great show to its stable. Word has broken that Mystery Science Theater 3000 will be coming to Netflix with a reboot of the series.

That’s right, we aren’t talking about streaming reruns, we are talking about new episodes. The series has some good writers lined up too with Joel McHale and Dan Harmon along with Elliott Kalan. The cast will include series originals Joel Hodgson, Mary Jo Pehl, Bill Corbett and Kevin Murphy, though newcomers Hampton Yount and Baron Vaughn will be playing Crow T. Robot and Tom Servo.

Other actors playing characters on the show will include Felicia Day and Patton Oswalt. Right now, there is no exact timing on when the series will premiere. I’m sure hoping its as funny as ever.

Mystery Science Theater 3000 Turns to Kickstarter for a Comeback

I used to watch my share of Mystery Science Theater 3000-suuuuuuund back in the day not because the movies were cool, but because I loved to hear the hosts bashing on the movies the whole time.

I know many people felt the same way and fans are still out there. If you want to see MST3K make a comeback, you can now support that comeback on Kickstarter. Original MST3K host Joel Hodgson is raising money to make new original episodes of the show.

He wants at least $2 million to make three feature length episodes of the series. If he can raise $3.3 million, he will make six episodes, $4.4 million gets nine, and $5.5 million will get 12 episodes. So far, the project has over 7700 backers and has raised over $900,000 with 30 days to go, so it stands a good chance of hitting at least the minimum goal.

Head on over to Kickstarter and pledge at least $10 to show your support. And don’t get pissed at me, that damn theme song will be stuck in my head all day too.
