I liked Firefly when it was on the air, but I wasn’t a rabid fan like some people. If you find yourself in the latter category, check out this gigantic Serenity replica from QMx. This is the biggest Serenity replica it has made so far at 1:124 scale.
The film-scale replica is based on the filming miniature that had a length of 26.5″, width of 17″, and a height of 7.5″. It has an aluminum and steel internal structure and more than 100 LED lights on the outside.
The beast was handmade by artisans from QMx, and you can check out pics of the build over on Facebook.
There is no word on how much it would cost, but it is safe to say a lot. Yeah, I want one pretty bad and the only downside I see is it’s probably too big to hold while running around the house making spaceship noises.

This limited-edition collectors model measures in at 36 inches-long, 18 inches-wide and 8.5 inches-high. The height is 14 inches when mounted on its stand. Not that size matters. This thing is awesome no matter what. The display base is mirrored too. It is outfitted with 100 LEDs that are remote-controlled, along with weapons, warp, impulse and running lights. It also plays sounds.
