Ripples in Time

wave_watch

Inspired by the movement created by droplets falling into water, the Wave watch offers wearers an elegant alternative to telling the time. A hybrid of digital and analog, this minimalist timepiece features both a small OLED display and visible mechanical components.

The mechanical parts consist of two counter surfaces, with the smaller one showing hours and the bigger one displaying minutes through a small window on the face. At the heart of the face of the watch lays the OLED display, which shows temperature, date, weekdays, and a circular chronometer around the circumference.

The Sky’s the Limit for Medical Delivery Drones

a_180_drone

Taking inspiration from Airbus’ existing family of cutting-edge aircraft, the Airbus A-180 Drone project looks a lot like something that might already exist in their modern fleet! However, the scaled-down design is less concerned with moving people and more about helping them during emergencies.

To deliver a payload of emergency supplies, it utilizes three double engines – one at the rear for forward thrust and two integrated in the wings for upward and downward maneuvering. Able to take off and land vertically or horizontally, it can safely enter danger zones. Upon arrival, it releases a cargo capsule capable of transporting everything from medicine and antivenin to supplemental blood and even organs.

One car, Two destinations

aura_car_1

Science fiction is filled with concepts of the two-in-one car. One car that magically becomes two, with separate drivers. The Aura is a fresh take on that idea with its bilaterally symmetric design, made to split from front to back. The seats also have an unusual layout, designed not for travel, but to allow us to communicate with one another and share thoughts, because hey, that’s probably how we came up with the idea of a futuristic splitting car in the first place!

Designers: Hakhamanesh Mashayekhi, Kaveh Nasserbakht and Reza Salianeh.
