Summon Batman with Your Smartphone

It’s not convenient for regular people like us to call for Batman’s help. You need a high rooftop, then you have to make a large spotlight that will call the Caped Crusader. Then, that spotlight takes a lot of power. Your electric bill is going to be sky high. And who wants to climb up to the roof every time you need Batman anyway? Here is a simpler way to contact Bats.

All you have to do is place this 3D printed lens designed by Dalpek over your phone’s flash and it will cast the Bat Signal wherever you point it.

If you want to summon the Dark Knight you can print one out for free using the plans on Thingiverse. Or if you want, you can buy one already made for $6(USD). Pretty cool.

Full-Size LEGO Bat-Signal Actually Works

When you need Batman’s help, just turn on the old Bat-Signal and he’ll come running. Don’t have a Bat-Signal handy? You can always build a LEGO version, like this one made by expert brick builder Nathan Sawaya.

Nathan recently debuted this life-size LEGO replica of the Bat-Signal from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on Good Morning America. It stands 7-feet-tall and the floodlight inside actually works, so if he wanted to, he could call Batman. I hope he uses it responsibly. Batman is a busy guy – especially now that he’s battling Superman.

It took Sawaya and his team five weeks and 75,000 bricks to make this thing. After a brief stint in Times Square, it will tour around the country as part of the “Art of the Brick: DC Comics” traveling exhibition. It will also be at WonderCon. Awesome job Nathan.

Bat-Signal String Art Calls the Dark Knight with Craft

If Jim Gordon had a thing for crafts, this is the Bat-signal that we would get. The upside is that it can still be dramatically killed by an axe, but Batman has to be really close to see it.

All you need is some thread, nails, a ton of patience and a desire to summon Batman and you too can make one. It actually does light up from behind as well, so maybe Batman can see it from a slight distance after all.

Why hasn’t anyone tried calling Spider-Man with this sort of thing? It’s basically a spider web right? Then you don’t waste this on Batman. The right tool for the right job and all that. Spider-Man would love this. And Peter Parker needs some gimmick where Police can call him anyhow, right? It’s a cool piece of art, I just really want Spidey to have his own signal.
