This convenient off-road family camper with full-sized tailgate kitchen is here for your outdoor escapism!

In these unprecedented times, one thing that has really fallen into perspective is the importance of family. Add to this the bonding and learning that comes with traveling, and you instantly want to set out on a family camping trip. Times aren’t such that you can go out on a traditional campsite and pitch, social distancing norms are to be followed, plus you want your family to be safe. This is where a camping trailer makes all the sense. When it comes to picking up a trailer, the aesthetics are of umpteen importance followed by the convenience it presents both on the treacherous trails and when parked.

Filling both shoes just well is the Kerfton Camper Trailer designed for Kerfton Australia by Argentinian designer Raul Gonzalez Podesta. Conceived to be functional and look great at the same time, the camping trailer is way past the drawing boards. A full-scale polystyrene foam model of the trailer has been created to understand the shape, styling and feel before it can be conveniently ready for the market.

The most interesting aspect of the Kerfton trailer is that you get everything from living to sleeping and dining onboard, without any tent pitching woes. The camping trailer is fashioned with a full-sized kitchen that can be accessed from the tailgate and be stored back into the camper’s living area when on the road. The kitchen is ready for use the moment it’s flung open in position with all plumbing and gas requirements taken care of. The kitchen features a cooktop, storage, prep area, a small fridge, and a removable stainless steel sink to facilitate drainage.

A good trailer design is futile if it doesn’t meet convenience. Kerfton takes care of convenience which is important when camping with your family. While the kitchen is accessible without erecting the tent, the latter is required by the night to ensure sleeping arrangement or when living area is to be accessed to reach for the storage, spacious enough to store a chemical toilet and camping gear. Setting up Kerfton is effortless, so while one person is preparing the meal when you arrive at the camp, the other can unfold the living area and set up the awning (if the personal area requires extension).

Kerfton Camper Trailer is fitted with a queen-sized bed and two large seating areas on either side that can double as kids’ bed by the night time. The effortless interior setup means the entire family of up to four members can sleep comfortably without the need for stretcher beds or inflatable mattresses. With its tires and ground clearance, the trailer can tag behind any off-road truck and be driven on paths less traveled. And when you happen to venture into the cold countryside, the camper is equipped with a heater to keep your family cozy!

This off-road trailer with a rooftop deck and a fully-equipped outdoor kitchen makes for the perfect deck party experience!

Lying comfortably under the stars with your fav people you enjoy spending time with is an experience unparalleled. But when you contemplate camping, the thought of wind and elements rattling you out of your slumber are thoughts that begin to mar the experience even before you’ve tread off the beaten path. To falsify that assumption, and to make an experience worth every bit of your time – a Southern Californian company RKS has designed and developed the Purpose off-road trailer with a rooftop deck where you can party during the day, and pitch a two men tent by the night!

RKS has hand-crafted a durable and lightweight Purpose camping trailer to take the outdoor enthusiasts way beyond the limitations of the tarred roads. Trading the wooden façade for an all-aluminum honeycomb paneled body, this 17-foot 3-inch trailer is designed to provide adventurists ultimate luxury and solitude simultaneously. The walls on the inside are insulated with memory foam, windows are covered with shades, and the comfortable queen-sized memory foam mattress is provided to sleep in coziness indoors. It measures 4-foot 3-inches high at the sleeping area and near the entrance, whereas the trailer pops open with four windows for view and ventilation that rises to 7 feet.

Under the pop-up roof is the entryway and bathroom – the latter featuring a ceramic macerator toilet and a shower that extends to the outside. The roof can be accessed by the interior steps or from the outside, it has a load capacity of 453kg – so rooftop parties are going to be unimaginably fun. The trailer is ideal for a couple but if you need extra sleeping space – you can climb up and pitch the rooftop tent. An excellent off-grid trailer with 210mAh Li-ion battery, 210 Watt solar panel – the Purpose is fitted with a 70 gallons freshwater and 25 gallons gray water tanks.

On the sides are mounts for adventure gear, bicycle, or surfboard – most exciting yet is the fully-equipped L-shaped outdoor kitchen. It is accessed by lifting up the rear wall of the trailer and swiveling out a hinged door featuring the LP-gas stove and a countertop. On the other half are a mini-fridge and a full-sized sink with a pull-down faucet. Starting at a base price of $39,900, the Purpose trailer has what it takes to craft a new off-road-trailer market for itself, presenting the outdoorsy an option to lift the tent off the dirt to the rooftop for a stylish mobile adventure.

This BMW M4 concept has an integrated camping trailer for the ultimate road trip!

I have a feeling like this will divide our audience strongly based on how they feel about this conceptual BMW M4 camping trailer – could be the greatest debate after that confusing dress that broke the internet (it has to be blue and black)!

Bradbuilds is a Los Angeles-based concept artist who reimagines many automotive designs with a crazy twist. Apart from the BMW M4 camper, his other viral works include a Tesla roadster safari as well. BMW is associated with luxury, not with adventure but this concept really turns the brand image on its head to give us a sporty yet sleek coupe camper. To accommodate the trailer, the designer has taken out the backseat from the car and optimized for time off the grid. The vehicle is a 500 horsepower single-bed camper. The interiors include all elements ideally needed for a road trip – a bed, a pair of solar panels, and a kitchenette. The suspension has been lifted and the tires have been replaced for robust BFGoodrich ones which makes it ready to take the road less traveled.

The renders maintain the M4’s aggressive front and side profile but give it a more tough aesthetic with the increased ride height, wider stance, and choice of tires. “Truthfully, it’d probably get better gas mileage than most camper vans,” says Bradbuilds and honestly I am waiting for BMW to turn this into a reality.
