Super Mario Question Block and Chain Chomp Lamps Light Up the Mushroom Kingdom

Are you a Nintendo freak? Then you probably have spent your fair share of time with Mario and his pals. Now, you can bring a little bit of the Mushroom Kingdom to your own kingdom with this duo of fun lamps from ThinkGeek.

First up is this clever Question Block table lamp, which features a 7-7/8″ cube floating above a green base. The neat part is the pull chain, which has Mario at the end, so it looks like he’s flying through the air and ready to knock the snot out of that cube. Will gold coins come out, or maybe a 1up ‘shroom?

If you like to keep your friends close and your enemies closer, then you might want to grab the Chain Chomp task lamp too. This 18-3/4″ tall desk lamp looks just like that evil ball and chain, as it rears up, ready to attack. But that power star you just collected from the question block is no match for this thing, and you can speed right past it without flinching.

Both lamps are available for pre-order now from ThinkGeek. The Question Block lamp is going for $59.99(USD), while the Chain Chomp lamp is $49.99.

This Chain Chomp Cat Bed Is Awesome

This Super Mario Chain Chomp Cat Bed may just be the greatest cat bed ever. Sadly, you can’t own it, since it has been sold for $1,100(USD). Your cat will have to find another way to live out his or her Super Mario fantasies.

Catastrophicreations only made one of them so this is as limited an edition as you can get… or not get in this case. I know that my cat is really bummed about it. She’s asking me if I can make her a Koopa themed bed. If I do, it won’t look this awesome, that’s for sure.

That is one lucky cat. Hopefully it doesn’t get chomped while taking a nice long nap.

Princess Peach Wrecking Ball Diorama: Chain Chomp Cyrus

Princess Peach is on a wrecking ball, and ready to tear down the walls of Mushroom Kingdom. Miley who? Peach is much classier, even though she is nearly as scantily clad as Miley was. And Chain Chomps beat wrecking balls any day.

This awesome pop culture inspired piece comes from Donald Kennedy, aka Kody Koala. The whole thing stands about 8 inches-tall. So how did he get the usually pure Princess to take her clothes off and go for a ride on Chain Chomp? Easy. He used an anime figure for the body and added a custom head for Princess Peach.

If you want it, (and who wouldn’t?) you can win it in a contest. Get the details here. Say, how do you safely get off of a Chain Chomp anyway?
