Game on. Play Super Mario Bros. anywhere…sort of. More like play games with Super Mario Bros. What we like about these Super Mario Bros Trump Limited Edition Playing Cards is the 8 bit retro style. All your favorite NES friends are on these cards- Mario, Koopa Troopa, etc. Check out the back of the cards:
You’ve got to know when to hold ‘em…know when to fold ‘em. Know when to walk away, know when to jump into a pipe and escape into a secret underground level. You can play all of your kings and queens but the princess will always be in another castle.

Super Mario Made of Paperclips
Check out this incredible video game art made entirely of paperclips. It’s a me, Mario, along with a mushroom, pipe and Koopa Troopa, all made from common office supplies. The Italian artist, Pietro D’Angelo seems to be exclusively a paperclip artist- here’s another example with a bit of a closeup so you can see the construction:
It’s incredible the way he’s able to create soft curves from tiny hard metal objects. His website doesn’t say but I think that these are completely self-supporting without any glue- just interlinked paperclips. Can’t tell exactly. Either way, great pieces of art.
Super Mario Bros. Koopa Troopa Shell Air Hockey Puck
Air hockey just got way more fun (and geekier) with the Super Mario Bros. Koopa Troopa Shell Air Hockey Puck. Flip it over, pop in a few batteries and it glides along ANY smooth surface- it provides it’s own little air cushion- 2 minutes of play every time you push down on the shell. Play turtle shell air hockey anywhere, although probably better played someplace with a rail or something to keep Koopa from flying off the table. Comes with a pair of “pushers” too (actually called “mallets”, yeah I just looked that up). Imported from Japan (if you couldn’t tell by the writing).
Hungry Hungry Koopas
Really cool- Kody Koala, who I don’t believe is an actual koala bear, made this uber geeky Hungry Hungry Koopas game substituting the Mario Bros. character for the typical hippos found in the original. It took 10 hours to build each of the four “hippos” and fifty hours total. Yes it’s playable!
You’ll note that those are actually Koopa Kids and not Koopa Troopas- for “extra flare” says Kody Koala. If you want to own it, get in line! No literally, get in there, he’s raffling it off instead of selling it.
Mario Brothers Koopa Shell Plush Backpack
Try not to get stomped on your way to school with Mario Bros.: Koopa Shell Plush and Backpack featuring the lovable Koopa Troopa. This adorable plush backpack has adjustable straps and measures 16 inches tall. It’s super plush to give it the rounded tortoise shell-like shape. Just watch out for any mustached plumbers with this on, especially the one with the L on his hat, he’s always trouble.
