Starry Planet Wall Art Won’t Cost You an Arm and an Ear

I have always liked Van Gogh’s 1889 painting “The Starry Night“. There aren’t many classic paintings of nightscapes, and anyone who loves to look at the stars will like what ThinkGeek has cooked up. It’s called “Starry Planet,” and it has the look and feel of the Van Gogh masterpiece, with a slightly different subject matter.

Rather than stars swirling over the dark city, this one has disproportionate versions of all nine planets from our solar system. Earth is among them, so I’m guessing that swirly spire in the foreground (I’m never sure is a tree or a wilting castle) must mean we’re on another planet. Cool.

The picture measure 20″ w x 16″ h x 3/4″ d, and is on canvas that is stretched on a wood frame. It should be evident at the $19.99 price that this isn’t a painting, but a print on canvas.
