Batman v Superman Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots Toy

Remember Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots? That was a fun fighting game. We played it, our parents played it in their day, and now the kids of today have a new version with Batman and Superman duking it out. The toy is based on their epic battle in the new movie, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

There will be some truly epic fights between the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel in the new movie and you will be able to recreate them with this brawling toy. This version is $30(USD) and has been upgraded with electronic sound effects, otherwise it is still the same as the original – with one stupid exception. Instead of their heads popping up (which was everyone’s favorite part of the game,) either character pops off their base when they have had enough of a beating.

Still, kids are going to love this new version of the classic game.

LEGO Action Comics #1 Superman Set

SDCC has a ton of exclusives this year and the latest one from LEGO has been revealed. This one is a unique collectible that collectors will go crazy for. The LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Action Comics #1 Superman set, which recreates the Superman issue that started it all.

It will retail for $39.99(USD). Just so you know, you have to win a drawing in order to purchase LEGO’s SDCC sets this year. I guess the idea is that it is more difficult for people to buy up sets to sell them on eBay.

Like the cover it depicts, this one is a first. It will look great with your other nerd toys. Hopefully, LEGO will make more sets based on comic covers down the road.

Herocross Metal Superman and Batman Characters Rock

I’m still not sure how I feel about a movie that has Superman and Batman fighting each other. They are both superheroes and I don’t think that Batman has much of a chance against Superman in a fight – after all, he’s just a man, and Superman is well, not. If you are fans of the two biggest superheroes in the DC world, you might want to pick up these metal action figures from Herocross.

Each figure has 20 points of articulation and they come with a base to hold them. Batman has a LED bat signal, Batarang, five interchangeable gloved hands, a fabric cape, and a plastic cape. They also have cool light up eyes.

Superman has four interchangeable hands and a posable fabric cape. Even if he can’t defeat Superman, it looks like Batman may be the cooler of the two action figures. You can get either of them at ThinkGeek for $79.99(USD) right now.
