A Wireless Air Purifier for the Modern Home

zephyros_rechargeable_air_purifier_layout

Unlike the vast majority of permanent items of technology that’s found within our homes, an air purifier’s nature leads them to be more fluid with their positioning; as demands change throughout the day and over-time, they may be required in a different part of the house. A solution to this problem comes in the form of ZEPHYROS, a wireless purifier.

Due to the now portable nature of the air purifier, there were additional aspects to be considered; a large battery is concealed within the body, which is wirelessly charged by the compact charging station. In addition to this, the unusual and fluid hourglass shape allows the user to hold onto the device comfortably when transporting it around the home.

The dramatic lines that cover the body and enhance its alluring shape are inspired by the flow of the air as it enters the device. An elegant and subtle design touch that completes the product.

A Fun Alternative to Conventional Wi-Fi Routers

factory_router_01

I love playful design, especially when it makes mundane and under-designed products, interesting. This is definitely the case when it comes to this little device! Factory is a Wi-Fi router that takes its inspiration from, well… factories! Its designer acknowledged that Wi-Fi routers and factories share certain similarities, they are both on 24 hours a day and work extremely hard during this time!

The introduction of this interesting design has allowed the router to become a more desirable object as opposed to a necessity that we try and hide. Factory makes for an excellent desk accessory that offers another layer of functionality that at first goes unnoticed; the traditional peaked roofing of the factories lends itself to being used as a pen tray, keeping the desk tidy and organized.

Oh No They Didn’t With the Mouse

cone_mouse_layout

Take everything you know about the computer mouse, crumple it up, set it on fire and toss it out the window. Now, meet, Cone. This twist on the design is a whole lot more aesthetically appealing if not entirely more ergonomic than the traditional mouse.

Its upright, pointed form is a total wrist saver. It instantaneously positions your hand, arm, and fingers in a natural position that reduces strain on the metatarsals and upper hand by allowing a portion of the weight to be distributed across the conical surface. The buttons are articulated in such a way that the fingers can curl naturally and click with ease. Better yet, the all-new design is interchangeable for users with both right and left dominant hands.

Forget the Fidget Spinner, Meet the Fidget Pen

fidgetpen_01

The person who invited the fidget spinner must have been distracted with they were designing. After all, how is someone who struggles with focus supposed to remember to carry around an extra object with them just so they can focus?! Ok, maybe it’s not that serious of a problem… but it does only makes sense that fidget functionality is married into some of our existing devices! The Fidget Pen is a perfect example.

Integrated into the end of the pen, a finger fidget mechanism allows users to turn the wheels, press buttons and feel the intaglio to their subconscious heart’s content! Because it doubles as a writing utensil, it will have twice the chance of staying with the user. At your desk, it’s a perfect addition to your other utensils and a handy way to get your fidget fix!

Car-charging Drones of the Future

volt_01

I love the concept of e-cars for their environmental friendliness but, honestly, my advice would be to never date someone who drives one! My partner’s e-car can travel a whopping 100 miles between each 8 hour charge which means I’m always the one stuck behind the wheel. If only he had access to a Volt drone, then I might actually get to chill out in the passengers seat for once!

The design takes portable charging to the next level. In fact, I can’t recall ever seeing a mobile car charger let alone one that flies. The subscription service is accessible via app. Whether it’s on long road trips where there are few charging stations or simply between spots in town, users can order a charging Volt drone to ensure their vehicle always has enough power to get them from point A to point B.
