Keep Your Hands Dry At Any Size

universal_hand_dryer

For most people, using a public bathroom is a no-brainer. You go in, do your business and then wash and dry your hands and leave. We don’t think of it being a difficult task for the most part. However, not everyone has the ability to just walk in and walk out easily. Some folks have to think about accessibility features of the bathroom, or height limitations which can make the task a bit more difficult.

One designer has thought about the difficulties that some people do have when faced with washing then needing to dry their hands. Hyunsu Park, an Industrial Designer from Korea has come up with an idea that can make the task of drying hands universally easy. The Universal Hand Dryer is the answer.

The way the dryer works, is that it has both the Up mode and the Down mode. Smaller people, children and those in wheelchairs can use the Down mode, while others can use the Up mode. The Dryer detects where the persons hand is positioned and releases the air to dry them. What a brilliant idea that fits everyones needs – stylish too!

Cook Your Clothes Clean!

wavelet_01

Until someone invents self-cleaning fibers, washing and drying clothes is a never-ending cycle that isn’t going anywhere anytime soon! This also means a great deal of energy will be spent between these two largely inefficient machines. But one unexpected appliance in another part of the house might just hold the ticket! The microwave can simultaneously (and efficiently) turn water into vapor and sterilize. This modern appliance design, called Wavelet, marries microwave functionality to the dryer to drastically cut the amount of time it takes to dry clothes thereby saving the user money and time! Just be sure not to throw anything with metal on it inside… yikes!

Dry In 30 Seconds: Body Dryer Eliminates Need to Towel Off

Body Dryer

So this gadget right here that looks almost like a weighing scale (oh wait, it actually also happens to be one!) could get rid of towels once and for all. Aptly called the Body Dryer, it promises to dry you off in half a minute or less, which is way faster than you could ever dry yourself off with a towel.

The Body Dryer has been in development for over two years, creator Tyler Overk explains. He adds: “We realized that there’s so many germs, so much bacteria that we’re reusing and putting back onto our bodies after we’ve cleaned ourselves from the shower or even coming out of the pool. We came up with eliminating towels.”

But how does it work? Basically, the Body Dryer blows “super ionized air” at “strategic angles” to push all of that water away from the person’s body, drying them in the process.

The Body Dryer is currently up for funding on Indiegogo, where it has already raised thrice its target goal. Pledge at least $150 to get one of your very own.
