Man Constructs Stunning Rubber Band Firing Wooden Minigun

The brainchild of Youtuber GenericWoodworking, this electric-powered wooden minigun shoots rubber bands and sets off cap gun caps as it fires them for extra loud sound effects. It probably goes without saying, but this man will not be allowed to participate in my next rubber band gunfight. Finger guns only!

Since the gun is electric-powered, it’s not entirely wooden and uses parts from a lawn trimmer and belt sander for its drive mechanisms. Its maker did try to make everything he possibly could out of wood, though, including some of the gun’s larger gears.

The minigun took over 300 hours to construct, and the man behind Generic Woodworking suffered numerous setbacks. Me? If I hit a single setback, I abandon the entire project. Sure, that’s led me to never actually finish any project, but think of all the hours and aggravation I’ve saved myself.

Modder Turns NERF Rival Blaster Into 2,000-Round Minigun

It’s always fun to see people mod NERF guns into badass killing machines. Well, not killing machines exactly, with that foam ammo, but still, they can be pretty awesome. NERF’s Rival blasters fire small foam balls at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour. foam or not, that’s pretty intense. But not one to settle for the ordinary, Captain Xavier cranked things up a bit, hacking his NERF Rival into a spinning minigun fed by a 2,000-shot backpack.

You will be amazed when you see that Captain Xavier’s Rival can now shoot up to 20 foam balls every second. It does this for a over a minute and a half without needing an ammo top-off. With a gun like this, you definitely need a backpack. Ammo doesn’t last long when you are spraying foam balls like crazy.

It really is amazing to watch. The first 18 minutes of the video walk through the build details, but if you just want to get right down to the firing demo, skip ahead.

It’s completely awesome – aside from the fact that his wife is going to kill him when she gets home and finds her yard littered with little foam balls. Still, it’s totally worth it. I wish that NERF would just sell these weapons like this, without us having to mod them. I assume they don’t because they’re worried about things like child safety and lawsuits.

Make a Minigun from Coca-Cola Cans and Syringes

If you have some Coca-Cola cans, some lighters, and a few spare syringes just lying around, you can use them to make your own minigun. The question is, should you? Yes. Yes you should. Unless you hurt yourself, in which case, I do not endorse this idea at all.

The Q Channel shows you how to make a rad minigun with a really cool design. It isn’t very hard to make. Watch the video, make it and have fun with your new homemade weapon. Just don’t blow yourself up with all those lighters and rubbing alcohol.

It isn’t the most ergonomic gun ever and it isn’t super powerful, but it looks super fun to make and shoot.
