This Chair’s No Ugly Duckling
Every so often you stumble across a furniture design just a tad too late and kick yourself for not coming across it sooner. I just purchased a new desk chair, so that’s exactly what I’m experiencing right now as I’m admiring the Swan chair. Grrrr.
It takes elegant inspiration from the creature of the same name. Though contemporary in construction, its atomic legs give it a familiar mid-century feel. It’s not so far out that it won’t fit in with the rest of an eclectic collection of furniture pieces.
Unlike other designs with a full back, it offers support only for the essential lumbar and dorsi muscles. While its sectional construction makes its material and color combinations limitless, the grey felt, clear acrylic and raw wood is our favorite by far. Sunny-Side-Up Seating
Just like the name suggests, the Yolk chair takes inspiration from the everyone’s favorite part of the egg! Just like the egg yolk, it can wiggle, move side-to-side and swivel 360 degrees. Crafted from super-cushy foam, it’s an eggonomic ergonomic and comfy place to both chill out or perform work. With its playful shape and familiar, signature yellow color, this silly seating is sure to put a smile on your face!

Good Bones
The Patricius 1 chair by Sergey Senchin is a tribute to the golden age of the Roman Empire in which individuals paid great attention to the quality of objects, especially those within their home. It also repeats the archetypical form of furniture as it was in ancient Rome. The metal rod forms the body of the chair and creates a balanced, sculptural quality that can be appreciated from any angle. The seat is made of oak veneered plywood. Together, it intentionally looks like the bones of a chair… what lies beneath, if you will… but it’s expertly executed to stand on its own.

Prankster Seating for Your Boring Office!
It’s easy for office spaces to feel stale and boring. Designed with this in mind, the Teeter and Tot chairs aim to bring a bit of playfulness and laughter into the workplace! At first glance, they look like your average (albeit, cute) stool. When sat on, however, they unexpectedly collapse giving the person sitting down a surprise as they drop down!
The falling sensation will make the average person feel a sudden adrenaline rush, especially if they don’t know what’s about to happen. It will also give everyone else a chuckle as they watch the unsuspecting victim’s reaction! The drop is just enough to keep them from falling completely off and actually makes for a comfy place to hang out once they’re lounging!

Mesmerizing Furniture, Courtesy of Mexico.
Felix is a miniature sofa with a mesmerizing canopy that takes inspiration from Mexican architectural designs of the 1950s in which paraboloid structures and arches defined the country’s identity. Its pergola-style cover provides visual separation to the user without restricting visibility. This visual lightness is a perfect contrast to its robust frame. Its skeleton is made of tough tubular steel while the cushion is fashioned from polyurethane foam and polyester, making it ideal for either indoor or outdoor use.
This contemporary interpretation not only pays homage to this landmark in architectural history in a fun, modern way, but it also part of a larger effort by designer Christian Vivanco to conceive, produce and market his products in Mexico and in collaboration with Mexican companies like Los Patrones.

Seating You Can Solve Like a Puzzle
Just as the name suggests, the Connected Stool explores an entirely new, interactive construction method and the result is stunning! Connected by a tough cord, 4 flat, planar elements transform into a handsome and useful three dimensional object.
The colorful cord makes for a bright and playful accent against the cozy wood. For a finishing touch, it’s fit with a leather strap and brass buckle that keeps the rope taut. Easy to deconstruct for storage or moving, this flat-packed puzzle is as convenient as it is fun to put together!

The Almost-Not-a-Chair Chair
At first glance, the minimalist INA chair might not even be recognizable as one. It’s all about a reduction in material volume without sacrificing style. Its purposefully constructed with wood where it matters: the seat and back rest. The resulting aesthetic is sculptural and light. While it’s not the most comfortable, it does prevent slouching and requires the user to have perfect posture while sitting.
