Taco Bell Selling Deep-Fried Cap’n Crunch Balls

Growing up, a breakfast staple at my house was Cap’n Crunch. I’m not talking that disgusting peanut butter flavored variety. I’m talking Crunch Berries with the fruity balls of sweetness that would hop you up on a sugar high in a few spoonfuls. I had to put a beatdown on my brother more than once for picking all the round colored crunch balls out of the cereal and leaving the bastard squares behind. I think I was quite justified.

This was well before you could buy boxes that only had crunch berries inside. Taco Bell (of all places) has a new treat for Cap’n Crunch fans that sounds awesome.

Cap’n Crunch Delights are deep-fried, cream-filled donut holes rolled in crumbled up bits of Crunch Berries. Buying cream-filled balls from Taco Bell is a bit disturbing to think of, but damn if these don’t look tasty.

They almost sound like something Chef would cook up down in South Park. Sadly, these things are only available in certain Taco Bell locations in Bakersfield, California. Hopefully, these will break wide at some point.

Taco Bell’s New App Lets You Order Food, Skip The Line

tacobelllead

It’s lunchtime and your bowels are seriously hankering for a beating? No better way to go about it than to stuff your face with some tasty Taco Bell. But hey, that long line just to place an order? Ain’t nobody got time for that, so Taco Bell’s just released an new iOS and Android app that not only lets you place your order before you even reach the restaurant, but also customize each item to your liking and pay from your phone. The company won’t actually make the food until you reach your closest location in order to safeguard its “freshness”, but at least you won’t have to wait an hour while hungry patrons stare at the menu while making their minds up; there will be dedicated mobile pickup lines, separate from the regular lines. Interestingly, the app uses your location to determine when to prompt you to confirm you’re ready to have your food prepared. When you accept the prompt, the order is sent directly to the kitchen and your name will be called when it’s ready.
