Baby Yoda Gets a Chia Pet Space Stroller

Who doesn’t love Baby Yoda? He’s adorable, inquisitive, and a little badass. We also don’t know anything about where he came from or why he has his abilities, which makes him a bit mysterious. Eventually, I’m sure these things will be revealed, and hopefully he’ll continue to be as cute as the day we first laid eyes on him. But even if he does eventually grow up to look like Original Yoda, you can keep his youthful spirit alive right on your desktop with The Child Chia Pet.

It looks just like the Baby Yoda we all know and love, except this little guy is terracotta orange instead of green. Once your plants have sprouted, The Child will be nestled snug as a bug in a rug beneath a living green blanket.

The set includes the Baby Yoda planter, along with enough Chia seeds for three plantings, which will reach their potential in a week or two. Entertainment Earth is taking pre-orders for The Child Chia Pet for $19.99, with orders starting to ship this July. Here, this is the way.

Knock-off Baby Yoda Minifigure Even Has His Space Bassinet

Baby Yoda (aka “The Child”) is arguably the most adorable character in the history of Star Wars. We love his expressions, his curiosity, and the fact that he also has badass Jedi powers. LEGO has their own official Baby Yoda minifig in the works, but the only way to get one initially will be with the $129 Razor Crest model, and even then you’ll have to wait until September to get one.

For now, we have to settle for some cheap Chinese knock-offs.

I spotted this little green guy over on AliExpress, and he actually looks quite good. He’s got those adorable eyes, furrowed brows, and wide ears, and hangs out in his bassinet, just like on The Mandalorian. The miniature figure appears to have LEGO-compatible studs, and can be removed from his floating bed.

If you don’t mind the wrath of both Disney and LEGO’s lawyers coming to knock on your door, you can order one of these little guys over on AliExpress for under $2.

The Baby Yoda Animatronic Toy Is Adorable… and Ready for Pre-order

Since The Mandalorian was released close to Christmas last year, not many official toys of Baby Yoda (aka “The Child”) made it to market in time for the holidays. That’s all changing in 2020, and this might be the best one yet.

Hasbro turned up at Toy Fair 2020 in New York, showing off an awesome animatronic version of The Child that will be available this December.

The little green guy can move his head, wiggle his ears, open and close his endearing little eyes, and makes adorable cooing and giggling sounds. He’s got a fuzzy little robe, along with a removable pendant too. The guys over at Gizmodo captured some great footage of the robotic Baby Yoda, and it looks pretty amazing in action:

Best of all, the animatronic is priced at just $59.99, so Hasbro clearly aims to sell millions for the holidays. If you want any hope of one of these sitting under the tree this Christmas, you’ll definitely want to pre-order yours now.

Hasbro’s flurry of ‘The Mandalorian’ toys includes an animatronic Baby Yoda

Disney's bid to cash in on The Mandalorian's success has come a long, long way from when the company was scrambling to release crudely-designed shirts. Hasbro is releasing a deluge of toys and games meant to capitalize on the streaming show, and it w...

Life-size Baby Yoda Figure Is Ready to Play with Your Ship

There’s little question that Baby Yoda (aka “The Child”) is the most adorable character in the history of the entire Star Wars universe. This little dude walked on the scene, took one look at all of the ewoks, porgs, and roller-droids, and said “hold my beer.” Now, you can have your very own Baby Yoda to look up at you longingly with its big expressive eyes and horizontal green ears.

The guys at Sideshow teamed up with Legacy Effects to bring us this amazingly accurate, life-size version of The Child. The little dude measures 16.5″ tall, and looks exactly like his character in The Mandalorian. Every little detail is there, from the peach fuzz on his head to the subtle hues of his irises we barely noticed even on our big 4K screen.

The inquisitive figure comes swaddled in his furry brown coat, and holds a silver shift knob between his three-fingered hand, just like the one he plucked from Mando’s ship, the Razor Crest.

Priced at $350, the lifelike figure isn’t cheap, but that’s a far cry from the reported $5 million that it cost them to develop the puppet used on the Disney+ series. I’ve never spent that much on a collectible figure myself, but I’m prepared to drop that much to have Baby Yoda in my house. If you want Baby Yoda as much as I do, drop by Sideshow, and place your order today. He’s expected to start shipping this fall, sometime between August and October.
