Here’s an Airpods case that lets you carry a bit of Apple history around with you!

The AW3 from elago pays tribute to Apple’s original hero product from its heyday. The 1984 Macintosh-inspired silicone sleeve for the Airpods case really gives it less of a dental-floss vibe and more of a cute relic appeal. The white silicone sleeve guards your Airpods case, cushioning it from accidental bumps and scratches, while an outlet at its base allows you to charge it too. In fact, the entire sleeve is compatible with wireless chargers too, letting you use even the new generation Airpods 2 with it.

AW3’s design comes with the iconic Hello engraved into its form, which also lets you see the green charging light when the case is plugged in. The case opens traditionally, to reveal the Airpods inside, but when shut, really makes for an interesting old-vs-new comparison, reminding you of how far we’ve come from archaic clunky desktop computers to computers so small they fit in the concavity of our external ear!

Apple Ancestry! This Apple Watch stand makes it look like an iPod Classic!

Designed as a pretty nifty throwback to Apple’s golden era of the iPod, Elago’s W6 stand is a perfect tribute to one of Apple’s most ground-breaking products ever! The W6 is a part of Elago’s rather remarkable throwback series of stands for the watch, ranging from stands that resemble the Macintosh Computer to the gloriously colorful iMac G3, to even the Nintendo GameBoy.

The W6 takes on a more recent ancestor of the Watch, the iPod Classic, which made its debut in 2001, nearly twenty years ago! A modern reinterpretation of the old plastic-and-metal device, the W6 stand is tiny, and comes made from silicon, allowing it to flex as you slide your Watch in, and preventing it from accidental bumps or scratches with its shock-absorbing exterior. The W6 is universally compatible with all Apple Watches and even lets you slide the Watch charger inside too, so your Watch can charge as it docks in its new-old home! The Elago Wristfit gives you a place to holster your Airpods

CKIE Product of the week – Wood 2

There aren’t many smartphone stands that ooze class. You’ve got your gaudy plastic stands, your heavy and expensive metal stands, and some designers dare integrate the stands into the smartphone covers…*Shudder*!! Wood, is truly the classiest material of all. It’s been with us since time immemorial, is natural, and looks and feels great. The Wood 2 stand stands out because you wouldn’t expect something this minimal to do the job so well.

Made cleverly out of a Walnut ply that has been pressure formed into that shape, the Wood 2 can take phones, phablets, and tablets of all sizes. The hole at the back can surreptitiously take care of all your wires and whatnot. Rubber feet, add to the Wood 2’s magic by providing a good deal of friction, so you won’t have your phone sliding backwards each time you tap the screen.
